Sevid is a small tourist town in the municipality of Marina, Split-Dalmatia County in Croatia. It is located on a small peninsula in the beautiful bay, twenty kilometers north of the town of Trogir. It is part of the Trogir Riviera, and the whole area around Sevid is characterized by a very rugged coastline and many small coves, and extremely clear seawater.
Residents of Sevid besides fishing, producing olive oil and wine, work in tourism, and there is almost no house in Sevid that does not provide private accommodation. The place is extremely peaceful and quiet and away from main roads and major tourist centers, making it ideal for those who want to escape from urban smog, congestion, and noise.
The beaches are rocky, and in some parts gravel, but almost every house has its own private front with a small pier where you can enjoy your privacy with breathtaking views of the open sea. In the local tavern, you can taste some of the famous Dalmatian specialties such as salted sardines, Dalmatian smoked ham, goat cheese, lamb, fish, shrimp, clams, and all this with a glass of fine local red wine Babic. Nearby Sevid is historic towns of Trogir, Split, and Šibenik, which is recommended to visit during the evenings and to see their old towns.
