Common feedback is something like “love your composition and production - sounds are a bit dated. Would love to see your approach to identifying groups of up-to-date sounds. Keep up the great work! So for a full production do you also take a royalty for every download as well as a royalty for every time the song may be played/used on radio/tv & commercial advertisements?
I will if the artist is bigger, signed, or aiming for sync placement. But for most smaller artists, I just do work for hire.

"If the project is a good fit, i will get back to you"... and if not? They won't hear from you again? Maybe it would be a chance if you get back to them anyway and get more info. Or is that "now" and you react another way when growing your business ?

While I’m always honored that anyone would reach out, a lot of the time I’m only able to respond to projects that I have the intention of working with.
When you’re starting, respond to every thing you can take.
