  • With the increasing demand for sustainable and portable energy sources, fuel cells have gained significant attention in recent years. Among different clean energy solutions, fuel cells are considered the topmost efficient solutions and are the basis for hydrogen-powered systems, aimed to constitute 24% of the European energy sources in 2050. However, traditional fuel cells are often heavy, expensive, and rigid, making them difficult to use in various applications. Herein, we introduce a new type of fuel cell that is ultra-lightweight, low-cost, and flexible, making it a game changer in the energy generation industry. By using advanced printing techniques, the low-temperature fuel cell can be manufactured in a highly efficient and cost-effective manner. e- LEAF is a novel design concept for fuel cell and water electrolyzer that brings flexibility and ultra-lightweight features to the cells. This new technology has the potential to revolutionize the energy industry, providing reliable, sustainable, and portable energy solutions. The innovative design can also provide various potential applications in different fields, including wearable electronics or fuel cell-based sensors.
