35 minute mark. The reason why GB & Mia offense looks better?! Is because the pupils have improved the concepts. Where the teacher(Mike/Kyle Shanahan) has remained stagnant. Mike/Kyle refuses to adapt with the times. It's the old we've done it this way for years. Why should we change to keep up with new technologies.
In regards to the Ashton Jeanty topic you two were taking about, my concern if the 49ers somehow draft him is how his body will hold up in the NFL. Boise State has been using him a lot just like the 49ers with McCaffrey last season. Jeanty was getting at least 25 carries per game it seemed. Just like how McCaffrey played a lot at Stanford. Using a high draft pick on Jeanty is probably not a good idea considering this era 49ers has a RB carousel each season.
I love the talk of all the great ideas but Kyle is not going to do what is logical. If Kyle’s a genius show us genius winning. I’m tired of all the wasted hot air because that’s what we’re blowing. Unless Kyle shows us different or he is fired!
The total number of passes by the 49ers this year isn't known to me. However, receivers who are catching the ball tend to be front and center on the minds of Purdy and Kyle S. That's to be expected. Therefore, it is no surprise that Kittle has been targeted the most of the receiver corps. He caught 81.9% of the passes thrown to him in 13 games. JJ was second in 49ers reception, catching 67.7%. Deebo may have been 3rd after 14 games. The data looked a bit odd to me and suspect. The 4th spot seemed to be Pearsall (I decided not to include HBs). In 9 games he received 17 receptions, while being targeted 28 times. He caught 60.7% of those passes. The 49ers-focused "Krug" dismissed Pearsall as a receiver who ran 100 routes but only caught 17 passes. It is, of course, self-evident that a receiver theoretically should only be expected to catch the passes thrown to him in a play. In the case of Pearsall, that was 28 targeting passes. A little mathematical figuring produces 28% of "Krug's" 100 Pearsall routes were routes Purdy actually threw the football to Pearsall. Those tosses of Purdy were not necessarily "on target" either, as Purdy is known to throw short, long, behind, leading too much and out of bounds. Seeing that in three straight games, Purdy threw NO PASSES to Pearsall, only "Krug" would fault Pearsall for not catching anything. Given Kyle's cannot-be-bothered with the day-to-day operation of the o-line, its slow crumbling-wall status was realized first by Purdy as he scrambled, looking desperately for old faithfuls such as Kittle, JJ and all to often Deebo. Under such deteriorating blocking, Purdy was much less likely to be searching for what's-his-name than for Big George or JJ. There certainly was no push by Kyle to remind Purdy that "whatzitnames" might be free running his lonely, lonely pattern. Obviously, Kyle saw no reason to hunt for a rookie, one that's probably not seasoned in Kyle's system anyway. It may be that it was Ricky Pearsall's bad luck to be stopping at the Bates Motel and being welcomed by Norman Bates, noting, "We have a quiet place here. My Mom says, 'We're all family at the Bates Motel.'" Perhaps Ricky won't feel to stay too long.
49ers need to double down on trenches between round 1 to round 4. 2 running backs on day 3 draft. Lifespan of running backs are 3 seasons on average. Draft Anthony Belton round 1 pick 11. Best Tackle on day 1 draft. Antwaun Ryland Powell edge rusher round 3. Daylen Everette cornerback round 2. Pick a center and defensive tackle next. With no trenches built up. Skill players like running back and wideouts a waste. Tight Ends are excellent with 4 on roster now next 2 seasons. Kittle, Saubert, Willis are reliable. Solve kicker and trenches if winning happens next season. 49ers identity is run game and stout defense.
They won't on the OL. 2024 pass block win rate: 13th, run-bwr 24th (avg's out to 18.5). 2023? 10th & 26th (18). 2022? 20th & 17th (18.5). 2021? 14th & 18th (16). 2020? 22nd & 25th (23.5). This is Kyle's philosophy & the 9ers have been the 2nd most successful team during this period by valuing the skill positions over the OL & QB. We're not going to see this change as long as Kyle is running things. Oddly, they've been much better at pass protection than run blocking outside of 2022 during this stretch.
You're right. The guys that Shannahan picks in the draft end up being disappointing. But to be fair with Brock being an exception in a mediocre way. It Shannahan 's way of coaching and his style of personal approach that kind of drove purdy into the ground, and the same he did to McCaffrey and even greenlaw. But the rest of his pick are shit! Moody- shit, Lance- bust, Pearsall-still young and still not clear but so far at least, below par, . As far the franchise quarterback question - he prefers an old over the hiller like Cousins instead of finding a potential hofer in the draft he can mold like how Walsh did with Montana. But, the problem is Shannahan dosent do that stuff and is terrible at it. Example, Lance! Plus, he passed up on Mahommes in the draft. But that already history. I dunno, I really don't like Shannahan and his style. He sucks and it's dragging and referring this team and franchise from winning a super bowl along with our sad ass owner York! Debartolo, an outsider, was way better! Walsh and Debartolo, they made San Francisco the gold standard!
Until they show us otherwise we are probably gonna run it back with a shitty O line and aging overpaid vets. Give me 1 reason to think otherwise. Expectations have now been set to .500 or worse.
We haven't used Pearsall enough to really judge him. Purdy appears average but if he had actual protection he's probably above average. KS will not play his rookies, it'll be 2027 by the the time we know anything about Cowing or Pearsall.
Somebody who knows BA's value to the team. Brock's fav target. Anticipatory throws, BA's there. Most catches 75. 1/3 total of 49ers' passing yards. 81% of his 75 catches were 1st downs or TDs. 18 yards average a catch. Huge loss.
@ exactly. Even with all the other injuries, i believe they still make the playoffs if aiyuk didnt get injured. The stats you showed let people know how important aiyuk is
@@StandingFirmAlways thank you! The disrespect is real. Everyone is acting like Aiyuk had a self inflicted injury based on him holding out. It was an unlucky hit. Aiyuk was always worth the money. The 49ers should’ve paid him off rip.
Must be firing Shanahan
Better trade Kyle Shanahan like Raiders traded Jon Gruden for 1st round picks.
Bears wanted Shanahan as their next HC rumor said
I would sell my soul if we traded kyle for a few 1st round draft picks.
@TigerBlood4403 too many fans think this franchise revolves around Kyle. No coach is bigger than the franchise, especially if he doesn't have a ring.

We all damn know Kyle's and the niners aren't going to do anything we you any says

Keep Kyle out of the war room!!! He can’t draft to save his life

I refuse to talk about Trey. I feel like Josh Allen or Mahomes would fail if they were drafted here in this regime.
Jenty would be a good pick
😂😂😂 it's Brock Purdy and Do the numbers on BA year to year and he is ABSOLUTELY a number1wr it's his QB,s #Trey Lance
We will very shortly what’s going to happen if they don’t fire the bad coaches and change their philosophy it will be a repeat of this season!
The offense sucks because Kyle's plays suck and Brock sucks

with a healthy brandon aiyuk the 49ers are a playoff team. Everybody’s overreacting. I’m not a huge Purdy fan but he deserves one more year.
