Thats a telephone number for USA, New York if I'm not mistaken. Is Intersurgical saying that the distributor for Mexico is a distributor in New York. What is wrong with having a distributor which is Mexican who lives and works in the Mexican market? New York? Surely you can do better than that. How does having so many links in your supply chain make your product more competitive to the end users? How does having a distributor outside of the market give you a better understanding of the market and it's needs and trends? Interstitial has excellent products, but marketing strategy and distribution seems misguided.
It is more effective at oxygenating patients than face masks who need oxygen at higher pressures. A study published in the NIH website says that air leaking and uncomfortableness of patients can be avoided (hence the need for invasive intubation) by this type of helmet design.
The CaStar R Next has been designed to improve patient-ventilator interaction by reducing the inspiratory trigger delay and increasing the rate of airway pressurisation, while avoiding the need for underarm straps.
@@tinkerer67 My mother had a huge face mask used on her at the hospital when she developed pneumonia. It looked so uncomfortable. She tried to take it off several times but couldn't. It might not have made a difference in my mom's case, the pneumonia eventually killed her, but that hood seems more comfortable.
@@QKLIENTE Thank you for your details, unfortunately the Starmed range is not available in the US at the moment, we are looking at possible solutions and if this changes we will certainly let you know.
Your product was on a BBC feature of the COVID-19 patients in ICU in italy. Your video however shows excess handling of the outside of the device, which is not ideal. It is my understand that the preference with COVID-19 patients requiring ventilation is to avoid NIV as it seems to predispose medical staff to a greater risk of infection than intubated patients. Less aerosol. So your device theoretically could reduce the risk of NIV. My concern however is the actual handling of the outside of the device.
There are other things available such as gas masks with a vacuum tube that feeds 99.97% filtered air to you. You can watch individual videos from weaponsandstuff93.
Thank you for your enquiry. The range of StarMed hoods is designed for use in the hospital environment on patients and is not designed for personal protection.

@@benigno1glez Hi there, our distributor there is Hospitecnica and you can find regional contact numbers here: www.hospitecnica.com.mx/contacto/
Hi, you can also contact our Area Manager on marinap@intersurgical.com.br.
What is that for?
To help patients who are having respiratory difficulties. Non invasive ventilation I think with an infection control aspect.

Minor defect, absolutely addressable. This device is saving a lot of people here in Italy.
This looks like something they would put on someone in the 20's.
