Ah yes, the episode that begins MLPs love affair with drawing monsters from super obscure world mythologies. We'd had griffons, dragons and manticores before, but now we get the Ahuizotl, an Aztec monster that takes the form of a monstrous child-eating cat with humans hands for paws and a 5th hand on the end of its tail.

To be fair it was a lot more common back than to associate liking to read with being a nerd and the episode was released ages ago. 😂😂 lol
Yeah, and it was very common for kids to see reading as "boring and dumb" so showing this lesson of "there's a book for everyone" might have helped a lot of kids that struggled to read

Better yet, DO NOT challenge Big Mac to a tug-of-war match, EVER, under any circumstances.
"Read It and Weep" instantly became a fan favorite episode just as Daring Do instantly became another fan favorite character! It was awesome that the mlp universe now had it's own version of Indiana Jones! And Daring Do became so beloved by the fandom that people were hoping that she would one day return.
"Hearts and Hooves Day" is one of the CMC's craziest episodes it was interesting to learn that just as Equestria has it's own versions of Halloween and Christmas it apparently also has it's own version of Valentine's Day. However not a lot of people liked this episode back in the day especially because it was pretty much a shipping episode, But luckily nobody in the fandom ships Big Mac and Cheerilee but it was after this episode along with certain other future episodes that people starting shipping Big Mac with a lot of characters. Anyway the episode itself my not be that great but the lesson is still good.

“Read It and Weep” is good for some laughs, but Rainbow being prideful and vain about what she likes and doesn’t like by denying she likes reading? Glad she dropped the egghead insult after this. It also gives an insight on who Daring Do is too.

I never would have thought Big Mac's love life would have become a storyline after this episode. Of course it doesn't appear until season 5/6 (??) but still.
But knowing what happens in the future, I can't be happy enough that it was someone completely different.
Maybe Rainbow Dash accidentally crashed onto him.

The love potion got Cheerilee and Big Mac crazily in love with each other. Those two are shipped. Sweetie Belle's sayings "Oh, come on!" and "Yes!" was funny. The perfect stallion song was amazing

Hearth and hooves is one of the worst episode of season 2 in my opinion.
Hearth warming eve is one of my favorite episodes of season 2 plus my favorite episodes of season 2 is the final of season 2.
