My oldest son's friend owns a Chevy volt , he is having problems with his car dying on him , he just checked the price of replacing that little car's battery , he found out it costs $10,000 to replace the battery in his car !!!! He said if he has to replace that battery , he will just get a new car !!! Now this is just an example of what will happen with these cars

In Europe they pay $8 or $9 per gallon for gasoline. Global warming will force big changes on what we use, but these price hikes are purely greed by the oil executives. Increases in price are based up rumor and go back to before the Ukraine invasion when the anticipation of invasion was hiking world oil prices. This has been a huge windfall for oil executives making millions of dollars off the working class. Shameful. Next time you make up a story, just put “Fiction” under it.

As a graduate with an automotive technology degree... the technology to make clean cars (even with the use of petroleum) has existed for a long time but the politics and politicians keep it from getting to the market. There are many clean sources of power that don't require the transition to electric. Yet, this push to force through manipulation and intimidation a transition without infrastructure, without a clear plan which includes all the players, and no real understanding of the technology is insane.

There is no driver shortage, it is and has been for a very long time congress placing more mandates on trucking. Small business owners are tired, rates suck, fuel prices are controled by left extremists, it happens everytime a democrat gets in office. Mr Forbes, can someone please do a true breakdown of what the actual price is from the refineries and how much is actually going to the govt and states and counties ? curious to see who is really making the money off the American people ?? anyone else want to know this?
I subscribed to a couple of petroleum trade periodicals and found out that the oil refineries only make about $2 to $5 per barrel of oil. They say that the high prices are the result of losing money for the last 5 to 6 years. Remember that gasoline dipped down to $1.75/gallon during the Trump Administration, which means those guys were losing money.
They also said that the refineries couldn't possibly keep up with the current demand.
When I worked in the oilfield 40 years ago, none of us who were blue collar guys were getting paid worth a damn. It is a lot more complicated than it looks.

Here in the UK fuel duty is 57% then 20% VAT is added. This all goes to the government . 77% in total. My question is were will the revenue come from to replace this 77% short fall. I believe it will come from charging points, or charged by mileage. Or on heating bills. We already pay a 25% extra on heating, to cover renewable energy projects. Many people can't afford their bills as it is. The elderly mostly, dieing from the cold, food or heating make you choice old boys old girls

Nothing wrong with electric cars, but finding a sustainable fuel before hand seems to make more sense. This is quite literally, putting the cart before the horse. Biden's desire for the switch is suspicious. And the damage mining for metals for the batteries will scar the planet.

Our power grids wont handle a quarter of Americans switching to electric vechicals. We dont have charging stations that would sustain them. Each vechical will be sitting at a charging station at minimum hour or two and that's not fully charged. Not to mention the fuel charge to produce the electric for the charging station???? Picture every wallmart having to install 40 charging station bays. Small gas stations dont have parking lots big enough to add charging station bays.

The 2020 election should be de-certified and the entire biden administration including obama leftovers should be removed and indicted for their complicity in biden crimes. I think our constitution would not allow Martial Law, but maybe there is an exception that can be legally explored. Otherwise I hope there will be many, many more subpoenas on this administration. For those in this administration who have law degrees, I recommend their law licenses are revoked. All their college degrees should be questioned down to the individual teacher.
