That depends of the restaurant, chef and ingredients 🎉 also a empty place should give you some thoughts 🎉 Personally i don't like that type of "ciorba" and "mici" do not have same taste everywhere 🎉

It used to be a pub called the Gun Tavern, they had a lot of gigs there with bands from all over the world as well as local bands. I went to some good punk gigs there in the 90s. Depressing to see what it looks like now.
Yeah i had the same experience too. I wish it was some flat bread made from just flour and some random mush maybe some random rodent that ran by the tribes village
If you want a real food experience, never decide to stay in a restaurant that has no costumers. This Mahala place looks more like a tourist trap, of course it's expensive. I doubt many Romanians are eating there. And tripe soup is an acquired taste, if you're not familiar with it, you might even find it disgusting. I know Romanians who can't eat it lol.
When you will be in Bucharest we can meet and I will show you a good Romanian food. I am also a RUclipsr so I can say many things related with Romania. Greetings
looks like you picked a wrong restaurant, Romanian food is very good, as for the tripe soup, tripe is the lining of the cow's stomach and nobody makes better tripe soup than the Czech's, try another restaurant more authentic this time, and if it;s busy food will be good
I'm Romanian and visited about 10 years ago, and it was the same back then, empty, terrible food, and the staff were rude too. I'm honestly surprised it's still in business after all this time. Tripe soup can be delicious when done properly, it’s essentially beef bone broth with sour cream, garlic, and vinegar. Of course, it has the distinct taste of tripe, which not everyone enjoys. In my experience, though, it’s often the texture of the tripe that puts people off more than the flavor. I even know several Romanians who either avoid tripe soup altogether or just drink the broth and leave the tripe behind.
Mici is the fast food but traditional and tripe soup is more about the fat taste not condiments, is an acquired taste for foreigners :), but still, you are in Croydon expecting traditional?! :)
It seems to me that 80% of your disappointment is due to the high prices, something tells me that if the price were lower, you would say “everything is ok, I recommend”
romanian, I mean food looked fine and the soup is usually not very flavorful, not a fan of it personally. But I do agree that price is huge for what it was, fair would be half
Went there 10 years ago, and it was shit then. I'm Romanian by the way and that was the worst Romanian food I ever tried. I'm surprised they're still in business.
When there is more English than native language it's sign it's focused on tourists. And it's like that in every non-English country. So higher prices than usuall, lower quality, almost no other customers. You can't taste traditional food in there. Basically tourist traps.
Hey pal, well done, but once again, you didn't get "sarmale". I'm dissapointed. :-) The soup you got is not for everyone, all the garlic and the sour cream must get inside the soup. If I can recommend you a video of 2 german guys in Sibiu (Romania) for a little bit of inspiration. ruclips.net/video/W9KEVMGDk78/видео.html

What's this stereotype with Romanians stealing wallets ? I feel insulted. We have wallets, we just need the money, you can keep the darn wallet.
Good one! 🤣
Should have said Romanian a few more times.
How many times did he say 'Romanian' :D
He didn't say "Polish" at least.
🤣🤣 I think he could have said it a few more times just in case we didn’t get it
Look there is nobody there that should make you think

The people were very friendly, seems like nice service

£40 not bad for beer , shot , starter and main in London , I laughed so much as Andre likes the freebies so much 😅😅😅😅

akurat rumuni odcinają się od rumuńskich cyganów i się nimi brzydzą. Ogólnie rumuni są pracowici i uczciwi.
