this is so fantastic. I recently retired from wrk and hav gone bac to my luv of baking and hav been experimenting with fondant lately. wud absolutely luv to see how to make the rest of the accessories. I'm making a beer pong cake for my husbands birthday next month and I'd like to put a couple cans of beer, but have no clue how to do it. Any help would be appreciated!!

My suggestion for a tutorial. How about perfume bottles maybe the small collectable bottles. Thats the only girly make up item you are missing.

You're very welcome! Yes of course. The compact itself was made with pre-colored black wilton fondant mixed with tiles (to turn it into gumpaste) and the pale brown on top was white mixed with a tiny bit of Wilton's ivory and brown. I hope that helps. :)

Great work!! How far in advance did you make it? And how do you store it?
Thank you! I always make my decorations several days, sometimes weeks before they are due. I store them in a rack that is covered in plastic so they are dust free. You don't want to refrigerate them. I hope that helps and thanks for watching! :)

I love the tutorials and would like to see me of them. How do you get your gumpaste to be so stretchy? I did the Wilton fondant and added tylose to it but mine does not behave like yours. It is a crumbly mess. I added shortening and water and it still does not work for me.
Thank you Pamela! We will make more! Promise! :) We spritz our gumpaste with water to make it super pliable. Don't add shortening as too much can ruin the texture of your gumpaste. :)

Would it work if applying a solution of vodka and corn syrup glaze to create a glossy finish to the bottle?
+Nelia K You can actually use just pure vodka and it will evaporate quickly and leave behind a very nice shine. :)

Hola Efrain! Gumpaste y fondant son diferentes en que gumpaste tiene un polvo que se llama tylose para endurecer. Fondant solo no es bastante fuerte para mantener siertas formas. Ojala eso te ayude! :)
