Since lots of people are asking, the scene at 0:34 is from the 10th movie, Strong World.
I made this with the intention of avoiding major spoilers for a friend who's currently watching One Piece for the first time and is only up to the Davy Back Fight arc. It was admittedly a challenge, but it was kind of fun too! This is supposed to be a bit of a teaser for what's to come plus an amv he can actually watch haha. This song suits One Piece very well as almost every character has been shaped by pain, in both good ways and bad.

This video just made me realize some subtext to One Piece that I can't believe I haven't noticed before considering the Dressrosa Arc. The world of One Piece is plagued by a very disgusting bloodlust. Pirates romanticize violence with freedom. Marines romanticize violence with justice. Everyone cheers when Roger is killed. Everyone calls for Rebecca's death. Everyone is eager to watch Ace get executed. Pirates kill so they can get bigger bounties and gain an even larger reputation. Bounty Hunters and marines hunt down larger bounties, creating more violence. And, the solution the marines provide is to redirect the violence via Warlords instead of actually stopping it.
But then, all too suddenly, things get far too real for the little people. Incidents like Dressrosa and Skypiea happen, and the citizens who once called for blood of their perceived enemies realize how horrible it gets. When it's happening far away, it seems romantic and fun. Everyone was eager to watch the Whitebeard War from the safety of the Sabaodi Archipelago. But, when Blackbeard's power created a tsunami that threatened them, they finally realized how dangerous this was. This is probably why the marines didn't want to televise the war in the first place. They didn't want to fuel this bloodlust.
Sadly, the only solution this show provides to rid people of their bloodlust is tragedy. Every time this happens, people don't learn their lesson until everything goes to hell. Oda said that this show was going to end with a war that would make the Whitebeard War look like the kiddy pool. I don't think he was talking about power-level. I think he was referring to the scope of the war. I grieve for the future of the planet they live on.
One Piece: World War (The End of the World Government)
That's the genius behind One Piece's storytelling, because behind all of Luffy's dumb jokes and nonsense, there is a dark tone that nobody usually pays attention to. Critically, One Piece is brilliant, capturing human suffering and a thirst for evil desires.

i actually did watched one piece after i saw this amv i felt the depth of the story the thing i coincidentally was looking for in my next anime to watch back than ... and now after 890+ episode i'm no longer enjoying the freedom of watching 20+ episode a day form this beautifully crafted anime because i have to wait one whole week for only one episode to be released

I think that’s the point and beauty of one piece. Because we are so focused on Luffy and his crew, the show always seems joyful and cheerful. But really, the show is filled with tragedy and death.
And then you knoe Luffy is a lifesaver and WG is the real villain .

No ones a good guy and no ones a bad guy. Its all pretty freakin complicated like our own world. And that's One Piece World's true beauty.

This video brings out the depth of the one piece world, the scenes are perfectly timed to the lyrics of the song and it's just amazing, to be honest. I cried while watching this because all the sadness and pain of the one piece world all brought together plus the amazing and perfectly timed song makes it so damn overwhelming and perfectly amazing at the same time. Kudos to the creator, this is fire

I love the camera movement you have throughout the entire video. It adds a nice flow throughout the entire video and the song you used only served to compliment that. I loved aswell how when you moved the camera forward you chose a close up shot then had a wider shot when you moved out, again adding to the general flow of things. All in all very well done, probably one of the best amv's I've seen.

this IS the best one piece AMV I’ve ever seen. I had chills throughout everything. Not only the song matches perfectly, but also the scenes that are, in fact, not as lighthearted that you could think.
There’s so many deaths and as we have seen in dressrossa, people are eager to see blood, they need it. In the coliseum when people were screaming for Rebecca to be killed, or when Roger is executed they all cheered? The man died after all. (I know they also cheered because of the one piece but still). But it’s only when they’re safe, that their blood lust take over: in Sabaody when peoples were watching Ace’s execution, and then when the war started and Blackbeard’s tsunami threatens them, they finally realize how dangerous it was.
And that’s exactly the genius behind Oda storytelling, because behind all the jokes etc, there’s such a gloomy world, that we don’t really catch at first. I mean I’ve been reading/watching one piece for 10 years now. And when I first started watching, it was just a funny anime about pirates and Luffy is pursuing his dream, but now, when I’m watching it, everything makes sense to me. Every word count. Every scene has a meaning behind it. And that’s just show how talented Oda is.
People always ask me why I love one piece so much, because they think it’s just a childish thing, when it is actually darker than what you just see. It’s not just fun and jokes. It’s about being the freest person and having dreams and never stopping to pursue them.

Have you heard of NEFFEX? You gotta listen to Crown and Fight Back. They're great tracks that are appropriate for One Piece.
Aetheriz A. where is there twixtor in this amv, plus you don't need twixtor to make good or smooth amvs. all he really did was choose music that matched the song and had mostly scaling and eye Transitions. his scaling and timing was smooth. twixtor is really just used to slow down clips but you can use it to make it more clear in a sense like rsmb which is a plugin for Sony vegas.

I had been struggling for years to actually start watching One Piece (I did start at 2014 but then stopped midway through Arlong Park arc because I was bored), but then, at January, my boyfriend convinced me to go back to watching it again... Through this very video!
This AMV shows a lot of important moments, but with quick scenes, lots of zoom-ins... Everything is out of context, order, etc. So all I could get from watching it was "Fuck, this seems so epic!" without getting spoiled at all. It really motivated me to watch it, so thank you! I have just finished Marineford so my bf said I could rewatch this AMV again without getting spoiled (I couldn't for months because he thought I already knew too much and would get spoiled lol) and I just got really emotional and even cried watching it lol
Anyway, I leave here my recommendation: If you have a loved one who is struggling to watch OP ("because it's X many episodes until it actually gets good"), show them this AMV! If this one doesn't convince them, I think nothing will.
I'd actually originally made this amv for a friend who was partway through the series as a sneak peek/trailer of what's to come without spoiling too much, since he wanted to watch one of my amvs, but couldn't because my other ones all had major spoilers haha. I'm glad it can serve that purpose for other people as well!

Definitely watch it. Try to avoid watching other AMVs though as most of them give away major plot points that are much more fun to see happen in time with the series.

he was talking about other amv videos where people just put a 3 minute fight of famous anime fights then slap a song over it call it an amv and get tons of views. while this video was really well made and probably time comsuming to make. and yet this video and the other made by the creator are that big.

WOW bro, I've just checked your channel and a couple of your video. Let me tell you a thing as one piece editor as well.
You have a brilliant "feeling for the music". In each of your amvs I notice always that.
Many other of my colleagues pointed out how some of your zooms (in this one) were quite repetitve at a certain point.
Well personally they didn't bother me at all along the video. On the contrary I believe they were one of the key that made this amv so catchy for almost every one piece fan.
I'm sure that if you combine even a little touch of AE in your next videos (without loosing your own style) the result can be awesome.
But the most brillian quality you showed in this was a "Perfect" scenes selection and choice in the various moments of the song. And I appreciate a lot the fact that you didn't put any word or text with the lyrics of the song, but you just let that the song itself and the clip showed made the "magic".
One of the few amvs I really enjoyed, this is gold nowdays on youtube.

This video really drives home some of the themes of the show. At the heart of One Piece are themes pitted against each other to signal a bigger overlying theme which is Revolution. Corruption against sincerity, loyalty against betrayal, bloodlust against love. Luffy is at the height of the pirates whom the world considers embodies the negative side including greed. Luffy's greed is freedom and that is the biggest cause for this revolution.

I remember just having fun watching One Piece when I was young, but as I grow older and get to know the story it really is conveying and comparing it to what's happening in real life just gives me the reality check and thousands of respect to Oda.
