i attended a discourse in april. swami je focused on this topic. there is a story about a man reaching enlightenment through a rock on the side of the road. this man's intentions aided him to be enlightened. there are many routes of experiencing the divine energy in the world, such as breathing mediation, walking meditation (please google), and temples. temples express the energy of its devotes, just as a rock, tree, and the ground we walk on. hope this helps. take care.
