Oakie Drifters. Got 58 originals. Fish one a year. I lose it. Wait for the next year. Gifted from my Grandfather after he passed. I’m cutting pencil lead & making slinkies in 2020. Fuck the hype !!! “The tug is the drug kids!”🎣🦾🌲
PS Happy Holidays to y’all. Best wishes in 2021 🤘🏻🐟😎 SO far this is one the best videos you’ve made Duane. Thank you for all the great information.

Old school guy myself. Used alot of slinky's, and hollow core pencil lead back in the day. I like the sounds of 'stick weights' not being too grabby. Can you elaborate or show a close up on part two, of home made stick weights? Live on the shoug now and returning to drift fishing after a 25 year break from bank fishing.
    Thanks!
    Merry Fishmas!

Hi Brad, part two is already recorded and set to go later tonight. Here is a link to a "How-To" I did last week on how to make your own stick leads and everything you need to know about them. Hope this helps, let me know. Thanks, D-

What pound braided line would you have on your reel for drift fishing? I know you like 50 for bobber fishing and bobber doggin but what about drift fishing?

Michael, for Drift Fishing, 40 lb. Braid works great. Again I put at least an 18' to 20' top shot of monofilament on, so as to ensure I have a breaking point and don't leave a bunch of braid in the river, if I get hung up. I will fish 50 lb. which works very well also, if I have a reel spooled up with 50 that I use for bobber fishing. I don't change my line just to drift fish, if that makes sense. D-
