When we were younger and missed Sunday school and also had the bus fare to do it, we would take the 97 bus and go to the Norman Manley Airport just to watch landings and take-off. Of course, that was when there was a Waving Gallery there. I believe we called that "drive out" at that time because we weren't there to receive anyone, it was just to look at airplanes. We LOVED it! Thank you for doing this 👍

Good morning and God's blessings everyone! Beautiful skies ❤That's very close ❤❤. Hopefully, when I come to Jamaica, you'll be that close so I can say 👋 . I am seeing more new airlines coming in😊. My sister with a very calming voice is back🤗💚💛🖤. Did the pilot say air bug for the Condor??😂😂😂. Southwest, give back Air Jamaica its logos 😅😅
@@audreysmith5463 Based on my understanding ATC repeats incorrect portion of the message and the pilot then repeats that portion and they move on, have a great day Audrey and thanks again
It's not weird Feona,if the wind is blowing across the runway the pilot has to steer the airplane against the wind, how much is determined by the strength of the wind so that is why they appear that way, hope I made sense, thanks for watching and have a great evening
The norm is to use the most experienced pilots to land in Montego Bay because it’s one of the hardest in the world but I noticed that these planes have been teetering a bit on their approach and it seems as if these pilots are unsure when to drop the tin bird . I also noticed that landing anywhere seems quite abrupt and not as smooth as usual lately.
@@Syble I am learning today Syble, I thought Jamaica was a pretty comfortable airport to land,my landing experience have been going well thus far, even though I am not a frequent flyer, thanks for the information much appreciated
Love the videos stewy great job u doing my brother.i honestly think Montego Bay needs a huge expansion in means of gates and another runway but it seems as if the space isn’t there for it. What do you think stewy?
@1STEWY While the fascination with the big boys is understandable and they are beautiful to watch, have you given any thought to the drama unfolding with the everyday workhorses of the sky that we see more often from the North American end? Boeing is not having a good time lately, and the 737 in one variation or another is about 50% of all traffic into MoBay?
Thanks for your comment Gary, I do see what's happening with Boeing, Airbus will rise to the top as more airlines will eventually choose that brand until Boeing regains confidence in the market place, so it wouldn't be a total surprise for me if some of the traditional Boeing only fleet like southwest starts ordering some Airbus, I also think Boeing should just start from scratch with a new air frame for a brand new 737 aircraft, have a great one now
All I can say is that you have some serious sense, it's seems like your right infant of the airplanes. The condor looks like caterpillar or old time American prisoners uniforms.....
Thanks Dean, I am outside of the airports perimeter fence on the side of the road deemed safe from the airplane operations, that is a airplane colour you don't see every day, thanks for watching and commenting much appreciated

Thanks Neville I am putting something together
Does it help if the passengers lift their feet off the floor as the plane takes off? Every little bit helps.

Great video. Regarding the bird names, those are American Kestrels. They are small falcons and are common in Jamaica.
