His name is Christian Alvestam he is doing all the vocal lines, he is a very talented intividual ,he sang on scar symmetry first 4 albums and after them he is part of many different projects like Miseration,Solution 45,Svalvevinter and others. He recently announced he has Covid-19 and we all hope for his recovery...
I used to love Scar Symmetry sooo much. Somehow I fell out of listening to them over the years, so this was a nice reminder for me. This song is amazing and the whole Holographic Universe album too. I hope you'll do more reactions to them in the future.
Christian avelstam is hands down my favorite vocalist. That being said, new scar symmetry with lars and Roberth is a ton better. The vocals and the music match better, and the music is way better and extreme. Sincerely, Christians #1 fan lol
You guys get a thumbs up just for introducing me to this song! I just found your channel and this is the second video that I watched so far - nice work.
I have been loving this album since it came out in '08. SO good! One of my favourite Metal albums. Christian's voice is so diverse and amazing, and these guitar solos from Per are phenomenal. I'm glad you two dig it. Oh, and 69th comment! 😂
This is probably my favorite SS song. The chorus is just so groovy and heavy. I'm an In Flames stan, but this maybe is my favorite melodeath band (non prog because that's Opeth >_>)
One of my fave singers/screamers this guy is amazing. A live recording vid of him doing a guest vocal is online. He kills it! He can switch back n forth, its scary good
glad you're bringing light to these guys. Sweden is brimming with metal bands, ready to take over the world. But sadly, they dont reach that far sometimes :(
Christian Alvestam is a beast of a vocalist. He does the cleans and growls and was in Scar Symmetry for the first three albums. He has a lot of other bands/projects he's in, most notable of which are Solution .45 and Svavelvinter. I'd recommend "Perfecting the Void" by Solution .45 and "Vanderland" by Svavelvinter to hear him more.
@@jdunleashed777 I know, that’s why I said DT sounds like scar here. When I heard count the first time I paused it and went back to check. I was like wow that’s crazy!
Christian Alverstam does all the vocals!! I think per n back some up on occasion but he has done many bands and he's probably one of the most talented singers today
Been listening to this album since high school. It baffles me how they arent bigger ive always wanted to see them but they dont seem to tour the US often
it's really hard to replicate an experience with Scar Symmetry, cuz they really evolved a lot over the years, and after this album, they had to replace Christian (their lead singer) with two other vocalists to cover the range, and imo, neither of them come close still. I'd recommend checking out "The Illusionist" or "Chaosweaver" from their earlier albums, or "Under BodeIns Bila" from Svavelvinter, his black metal project.

Nice reaction! Scar symmetry is a amazing group (or was with Christian Älvestam), and they got many more incredible songs just like this one where he sings aswell. If you want to hear more then you can listen to: Scar Symmtery - Timewave Zero Scar Symmetry - Chaosweaver Scar Symmetry - Artificial Sun Projection
So much fun to jam those old scar songs. Me and a guy from the netherlands made a vocal cover of Retaliator back then. Still on my channel if someone want to check it out 😆
0:55 How does that happen? It happens all the time! One second mine was 2 proper straight lines, the next second after accidentally moving it about, before i knew it, it became a ball of yarn!
They have two vocalists now, and they're still a great band. Christian obviously is an exceptional singer, but having a dedicated harsh vocalist and a dedicated clean vocalist suits them better live. And Per Nilsson on guitar is one of the best in the world, IMO.
1 vocalist for this one (last one with the original vocalist....and they had to replace him with 2). Christian Alvestam is...IMO...the best metal vocalist alive.
It's quite funny that you have almost the same number of views on this very same song that VinAnd Sori -channel has too :D only 25 viewings more for this song 😁👍
Loved the vid. Consider doing a broad Christian Alvestam react. It'd be a fun vid and I'm sure you'd like it. He really does every level of vocals....clean to harsh...better than any vocalist in the game.

Correction my friend he sang on Scar Symmetry his first three albums Dark Matters was the fourth album and he was not in that!
And actually the first band he ever sang in was called unmoored he was a teenager
@@stevewinters7234 You are right, I miscounted, my bad...
Man... need to see a broad Christian Alvestam reaction. That'd really be a cool vid. Wish I could put money toward it cause I 100% would.
I'm sure they know. And most these 'reactions' are fake.
One of the most underrated Swedish death metal bands. Write some of the catchiest stuff
Super cool stuff yes! Per Nilsson should def make some new stuff absolutely!!
When they had to replace Christian Älvestam, they had to take in 2 singers xD thats how freaking awsomme Christian is.
he cant do multiple voices live
One of the guitar players, Per Nilsson, is currently a touring guitarist with Meshuggah. He's an incredible player.
It would be great to see more Scar Symmetry! They are awesome but they don't get enough love.
Truth 🤘🏼🖤🤘🏼
Damn right dude.
Scar Symmetry is the only Metal Band i got every Album on CD + Shirt. My All Time Favourite Metal band
Per Nilsson should def make some new stuff absolutely!!
Scar Symmetry, my favorite melodic death metal band. Saw them live in 2007 with Into Eternity, Dark Tranquility, and The Haunted.
oh, no broser...............you best grop wilbe soilwork!!!)))
Same. Somewhere in LA. My first time going to LA. Then came right back to my state after the show was over. Good times.
Christian is a rare metal vocalist that could double as a pop singer and it would work
He actually has a personal album called Self 2.0 which has a more pop-y sound.
That song got one of the best solos I ever heard in my entire life. Just beautiful
Morphogenesis by them is awesome, awesome i tell you.

The illusionist by them is fantastic... there's a video to see them perform as well.
Best album, Holographic Universe. Never gets old, so catchy. A new album from them would be nice.
The composition was phenomenal
Awesome to see Scar Symmetry here! :O
Please, react to Holographic Universe (the song), it's DOPE.
It kills.
To answer your questions about vocalist: all of them.
Duuuuuuudes!, yes!
This has to be favorite off the album, even though that’s such a hard choice. Great video!

For me, Christian Alvestam of the best voices in Melodic Death Metal. (Scar Symmetry, Solution .45, Miseration)
That's Christian Alvestam. He's the Singer of a band called Solution.45 now. AND THEY'RE GREAT!! You should react this Band.

Scar Symmetry reminds me like a death metal version of Dream Theater.

please, check the videoclip the illusionist
