Mind boggling. Awesome content. I fly planes, I sailed dinghies - the physics of these boats has my head spinning - and loving it. I hope more content like this can be created after the cup is won and MAYBE some more tech and secrets can be shared - wishful thinking. Amazing boats 👏🏻👏🏻 great channel. Thankyou 🙂
Software, foils & aero-sails; things have changed since I started in 1956 racing Turnabouts at the age of 6 in Nahant, Massachusetts. Lovely get together with Nathan, Matt. Great to hear from experience!
Fantastic video! It’s so wonderful to hear someone with experience really get to speak their mind about the ins and outs of these AC75’s. I would love to see another interview with questions focused on the Prada cup, the changes he saw in the three challenger boats, and obviously a bit of talk about THAT capsize.
Nathan's excellent commentary provides Valuable lessons for us who follow these races. A few years ago, My 90 year old mom became an avid fan when we watched the America's cup races together. Thanks PlanetSail for allowing us to experience the excitement.
I’m truly impressed with the knowledge and the commentators being able to express their thoughts at a level of understanding that I can follow. Please keep the videos coming! Have fun!
This discussion of how the foils & pitch are used is brilliant. Coupled with the Mozzy Sails foil tech discussions it’s really intriguing. Good stuff Nathan.
Loving the commentary. This is a really great insight into the complexity and technicality of making the AC75 go quickly. I am looking forward to watching the Prada Cup final with slightly better insight
Love the commentary. Especially great to get a seasoned racers POV about critical crew input to design development and different approaches to optimising boat control. Was wondering if Burling was on the ball early on. Nathan's observation that Burling then "owned Dean" ( probably getting a "rocket") answered that question. Hopefully the boats are close in speed and it gets down to best sailors duking it out. Look forward to next episode ... this one was excellent.
Ever since i found this channel it is my go-to for explaining to friends about the AC and the boats! Well done, great editing, interviews and content. Keep it up and "Love the commentary" !!
Utterly fascinating, clearly delivered - thank you! There is just so much going on with these boats. As Matthew says, it’s so impressive that the crews can not only keep them going but race too. Awe inspiring.
I only put that comment for the Spinlock guys :) but I really do want to congratulate you on this particular interview. fascinating stuff and a great style from Nathan - thank you.
LOVE THE COMMENTARY ❤️ especially interesting about both foils down to slide through the turns. Brings a new level of terror to watching each maneuver!
It's great discussions like this that I nominated Matt Sheahan as my favorite journalist in my journalism class! (It was a funny moment as some of the other students were like, "Sailing journalist?")
Fantastic coverage and videos,, very exciting indeed. I love the commentary, great interviews and very informative. I love the format and production. I always look forward to your next video. Keep it up.

Love the commentary. i look forward to watching these videos and keeping up with the news, As an active Laser sailor I love the excitement of it all. keep up the good work.

Again: SOOO MUCH FUN to watch you guys chat - hell did I learn a lot! And the background-noise wasn‘t a problem at all, but the view alone definately worth watching your conversation 😂! Thanks again!
It's been great to get some news on series. Can't find coverage in USA. AT least last time streaming data was available and I wrote an application to watch. Even while at work to keep up. Keep the coverage coming
Loving the commentary, jibing my Finn was always the tricky part, fins would've helped. Wow what progress! my first race was in a comet with cotton sails.
The best conversations and the most informative videos about this America's cup event. Thank you, Matt ( PlanetSail). Even though, I got lost in all that technical/ sailing jargon at times... haha
Yep totally agree with other comments Thinking about all the forces at play and the physics involved during the manoeuvres as well as still keeping a human element is impressive to say the least.
Love the commentry, I can't wait for the suite du programme. This cup is ever more impressive. I thought that the 2017 edition and AC45 would be unmatching. I was wrong, totally wrong.
