Interestingly, the pumice has more root hairs. This is more important because the plant actually uses the the root hair to take up water and nutrients. Indeed, bonsai growers typically remove as much of the bigger roots while leaving the finer roots behind.
I totally enjoyed this video! You were my comic relief this morning because your comments are hilarious!😆 It's also very informational because I have been trying to propagate Scindapsus in Sphagnum but without success, even after a few months of sitting in the medium! So, today, I am expecting a delivery of pumice so I will try that! By the way, I am also a mom, but mine are grown and gone, and now they are growing their own plants!😆🌴...Thanks for sharing with us!❤️ PS...I just subscribed! Good luck with your channel!
Ohh my gaaaawwwwddd so haappy you enjoyed this one🥲 You make my day too. I’ve been very unmotivated to do youtube but you inspired me to continue instead. Thank you so much this means soo much to me. Godbless you😌😘
@@dramaticleafing9103 Please continue, dear. I have a lot to learn! I started buying houseplants about 35 years ago, but back then there was no RUclips or Google, nor did I know anyone with houseplants to learn the proper care of them. Now that I have more time, I am learning how to care for plants the proper way instead of killing them all!😀🌴
Forgot to say that I did receive the pumice today! I have already used it to try to propagate those same Scindapsus Silvery Ann cuttings. Plus, I have used a LOT of pumice to help 2 of my new Philodendron Micans plants. I am a notorious over-waterer, so the pumice should help! Please wish me well! And Blessing back at ya'! 🧡🌴🙏 🙂
I only started this pandemic and there’s no stopping here hahah. It’s soo fulfilling to take care of something and actually see them grow and not die hahaha I was a plant killer now reformed hahaha thank you soo much for the push😊
Pumice is actually waaay cheaper than moss and leca. I’m too broke to try it though but I’d like to try. Thank you so much for your support and good luck with your propagation projects 😊
