I've enjoyed this build a lot. Your suggestions both here and on the Trekworks channel have gone a long way to help me out with doing seams on my kits. I can't wait to see what you do with the main body of the kit and the seams on this. Thanks!
Nice tip with the hot glue, I have been thinking about using it on the Mercury 9. That thing has so many wires running in the base that I am having trouble getting them under control.
Really cool Boyd. Good idea with the LED's fitting in place. I have a question. The resistors you had to use to dim them down, did you just go up in value? Example, it called for a 450 resistor. Did you put in a 740 or higher to dim it? Keep up the great work.
Haven't watched this yet-- wonder how many more "parts" you have to finish it?? I don't want to miss any.. and I HAVE subscribed.. The phone company is coming next week for me to install my FIBER OPTIC service-- and after having 4 meg download speed (yes 4-- slower than a constipated pigeon flying against the wind) I'll have 100 meg or maybe 500 (whichever I decide) and I'm going to ask the tech if I can BUY a section of the heavier FIBER OPTICS to use for models.... (some of them WILL let you keep small sections that they cut off)..
Normally, LEDs will not burn out unless they're overdriven at current levels above their rating. The lifetime specification you'll see in datasheets (100k hours, typically, for small LEDs) is the time to half original intensity, rather than time until failure.
Scifi model Action 🎬 your big submarine is awesome my friend 🎄

You are correct sir! I kept going up until the glow was where I liked it.
Admiral Nelson was inspired by 1959, or 1960 Chevrolets when he designed the fins for SEAVIEW.
SEAVIEW fins remind me of the back of a 1959 or 1960 Chevrolet.
Your welcome. Glad the videos are uesful.
