Kristin, thatched-roofed building fires provide their own particular challenges to firefighters, and as such, tend to command a sizeable attendance. For instance, the predetermined attendance (PDA) in my own county of the UK for a thatched building fire is six pumps and a water tanker, and often many more appliances are drafted in in subsequent calls for assistance. But sadly many of these beautiful historic buildings are lost. So hats off to the boys and girls in this clip, because it looks like they saved the building. Good job. 👍
