I enjoyed this. One thing I see that’s changed over the years is trimming. I am used to layered trims and then the blunt cut being at the end, but now it’s reversed

My stylists still does it the way you described. I prefer it that way as well.

I had my sew in for 3 months being lazy my hair was so knotted up so bad . A month later I relax my hair my hair is so long I couldn't believe it. But now I have a sew in again this time I'm only leaving it in for 2 months and I'm letting the shop take it down.

Omg your hair can get knotted up if you leave it in that long? I was gonna try and keep my sew in for my vacation but it will be about 2 month mark when I’m on vacay!

Depends HOW you take it down. There’s going to be build up, you need to know how to remove that

Omg. This is after 2 months only. My sister has had a weave in her hair for 10 months. She always got them removed within 3 months at the latest. Unfortunately she ended up very sick and was in the hospital for a long time. Months she was there. Even when she very first got home she couldn’t do much. Now she’s ready to have it taken out as she said her head is itching so badly. I told her that maybe it’s best that she cuts the weave out and just cut her hair. I’m pretty sure that her hair is in dreadlocks by now and having to get those knots out is so very painful
