Sounds perfect! Dynomax super turbo has to be the best muffler out there. No drone or rasp, won't wake the neighborhood, and flow much better than stock.
No difference in heat in the cab that I can notice. However the 2k to 3k rpm power does feel a bit more muted. With stock exhaust, I can feel a surge in torque (seat of the pants) but with this Dynomax muffler, it does not hit as hard. Higher rpm after 4500 also seems to roll off too. So there is definitely more back pressure. I did another test swapping in the Stainless Works Turbo muffler with better results. Stainless Works Turbo have the same power as stock with the same quietness as this Dynomax: ruclips.net/video/pDDanf6SN7Y/видео.html
@@rtabcum thanks so much! Your rig is a 3.6 I assume. I have a 17 JK two door manual which should have about the same stock drivetrain and exhaust and had a muffler shop do a flow master 40 series delta for my high clearance exhaust. They only charged me $100 to weld it in. I didn’t get it for the flowmaster sound but probably the least obnoxious compared to the high clearance kits. I prefer lower tone than higher. But I would prefer quieter like the stock exhaust. Low end torque is lower though, above 3000 RPM it picks up a lot. City mpg is much better but highway is the same or slightly lower. And I need to add heat insulation. As an engineer I appreciate that you used a decibel meter and did a real comparison, hard to find facts on high clearance exhaust for the wranglers. I am going to buy the stainless works turbo and try that.
@@phillipswanson4055 thanks and yeah, its a 3.6L engine. Really happy with the Stainless Works and plan on staying with this configuration. The added benefit is the entire exhaust is now stainless. Happy wheeling!

Looking at adding this to my Gladiator. Thank you for the post!
I've been looking for a stock-sounding high clearance alternative...
Nice install and fab! How does this affect mpg and low end torque? Generally any difference in performance? Does it heat up the cab? Sounds good!
