Happy new year my guy! Thanks for sharing this journey with us! You took this way farther than HP ever expected anyone to! I knew it would either end up working, or with you smashing it with a baseball bat. Well done 👍
Now my turn wish me luck. I am going straight to the soak. Thanks. Cause after taking it apart 2 times it would of been on the tree lawn.. and I would have a new in my cart at Walmart, Costco, Amazon, Target...... somebody ordering a new one.❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
im just having the same problem. i wiped the printerhead with wet alco wipes several times but the black box was still empty. will have to take out those mf'ing cables connected to it and soak it like you did it seems. i hate throwing away electronics so it must be done.
@@KAFKUBA It's like a gift that keeps giving. I found it funny considering the time of year you recorded your video. I spray on more alco based window cleaner, thinking it cannot possibly have more shit in it. Turns out it does.
PERFECT colour block results on first run after a clean. thanks for your advice on persistently cleaning. i went to town with the window cleaner spray.
Kafkuba, this is Sugar Bear. Remember me? I was trying to give you encouragement to stay on trail last year. Well I am planning to section hike the Smokys the last day of March and was looking on RUclips to see vids of last year to look for expected weather conditions … and got to your ‘Day 22’! Your footage is basically a cautionary tale not to do the Smokys so early (and I’ll be doing it a week earlier than you). You were very open and descriptive of the conditions you survived. Just wanted to say hey and let you know I appreciated your journey. PS, I hate shelters, so I’ll be hammocking thru that section. Happy New Year! Sugar Bear
Happy New Year Sugar Bear! You might be better off going early...it was an April storm... might be drier earlier. It's all luck. Thank you for reaching out and best of luck!
@@KAFKUBA I’ve hiked from Springer to Fontana Dam and will be sectioning with another, having a car positioned at Newfound Gap and the dam (we’ll meet at Gatlinburg, and if conditions look like what you had, we’ll go to plan B, which is Hot Springs to Erwin). So far, I’m 800 miles in (have also hiked from Front Royal, VA to Manchester Center, VT). You did a great hike and I am certain that if you had a solid Tramily support and not hiking alone, you would have made it all the way (yeah, I know that wasn’t your goal, but I’m just sayin’.). @@KAFKUBA Tried 3 new print heads. They all immediately errored out. Sooooo, I tried the technique I have been using on other inkjet printers. The original printhead does not error out. Flushed the old printhead with very very warm water. It slowly started filling in, continued the process and now the black is printing. Fun fun fun!!!

It was no Enigma Machine but if was for me. Cause I'm a failure as an engineer. Happy New Year!
@@KAFKUBA you may not be a good copy repair guy, but your a damn fine engineer. Fact not opinion. Be well my friend 🙏

Lol! Good luck! Let me know
Same here I'm tryna do the same thing- got an old 6620 and I'm gonna fix it no matter what 😂
That’ll be revealed in history books as one of the biggest scams - printers/cartridges.
No shit right?!
Lol...history

@ahpadt as in my video I eventually just soaked the cartridge several times and it came to life

@ahpadt welcome bud... thanks for coming
You've got a lot of patience 😂Nice work. 🙏❤️✌️🥃

Enjoy your time. Great job
I think my 6520 will go the way of the recycling bin before I venture this far. Time for a new printer.
Dump it straight in the ocean
You missed a good opportunity to go full out Office Space on that POS.
I was thinking that but I have bad memories of doing that with a perfectly good PS3 cause I suck
I am going thru the same frustration with mine. Just ordered a new print head. Hope that fixes it. These things are touchy.
Good luck!

@@KAFKUBA you ended 2022 on an up note. You're good enough. You're smart enough. And doggone it, people like you.
Ahhhhhh...bourbon road trip... we need a week like the movie shows
Yeah it's 75$ for this printer. I hope you run out of ink now and need to spend 65$for the new cartridges
I hope you have a good paying job with people who respect you
