In case anyone's wondering, this theme was inspired by the 'Bay Area' theme of Final Fight...which players hear AFTER beating Rolento in the previous stage! I only remember Rolento having his own theme in the Sega CD version and GBA version of FF1.
Back around 2002 when I first got into Mugen I used to always pick Rolento's stage when playing my Capcom Mugen game with my friends, just to hear this song! So many epic matches with Evil Ken, Jedah, and MB-02!
+Retro Gaming Guitarist Well, actually this song is not his theme exactly. It's the theme of the Bay Area from Final Fight, but for any reason they included it in Alpha 2 as Rolento's theme.
Love this theme music. Loved it since it came out in the 90's. One of my favorite SFA theme. Originally from Final Fight arcade I played back in 1990! Love it!!!
I loved Rolento's stick attacks in this game and that cable line that he used was cool too! Rolento: All set? (pulls line forward, opponent gets hung) Rolento: Mission Complete!
Fighting game tracks of the 90's, up until 00 had more style to them. They truly strengthened the character's personality, along with their stage. This was definitely the appropriate Final Fight theme for Rolento. It sounds like something is coming after you, cruel and cold.. I don't really feel or see anything from fighting music today, a lot of it sounds forgettable, even annoying.. Like I don't really remember any of the tracks from Street Fighter V... Tekken I think next to Guilty Gear, are the only fighters I'd have to say, that still have awesome tracks today.
Shows how little you two know. This isn't even Rolento's theme. Rolento's had his own theme since the original Final Fight. USFIV fixed his theme by updating the original Rolento boss battle theme. SFV has themes that blow Tekken and Guilty Gear's out of the water. Theme of G Frosty Boulevard 1 and 2 Theme of Cody Theme of Zeku Theme of M. Bison Theme of Balrog Theme of Vega Theme of Zangief
my childhood memory right here..i remember my uncle rented this from a blockbuster store back in 1996 when i was 6yrs old..im 19yrs old now and i can say tha 90's shine tha most for my life growing up..i thank my uncle for bringing me up in gaming no lie back then..he got me playin final fight when i was only 3yrs old..when i turned 4..i got crazy gud..lol (i almost 4got..if anybody still has megaman x5 on ps1..if u take tht cd out and put this game in..this song will play for X's intro stage)
This theme makes me want to drive over some enormous bridge in a huge city while the camera slowly gets further and further away while filming the scene.
Biggest Badass of all time!! He'll click his fingers and hang you from the ceiling while his buddies celebrate on the roof with their knives in the air!
its amazing but i dunno bout that 1....then again when :36 comes u may have a point its like upbeat hip hopie then it starts soundin like sum krazy shyt
Ever since SFA I've maimed Guy. My best mate mains Ken. SFA2 IMO is the best SF ever made. This was the only level we'd fight on ;) good times, great BGM.
@TheTaiyakiGuy actually i think it fits his dark story now. It feels sad but also epic at the same time. Rolento has speed and well honor so i think the Fight Against Rolento theme or Industrial Zone fits him. Although i have a feeling Capcom wanted to remix this badly and handed it to Rolento, but that's my guess lol
Rolento was one of the bosses from the original Final Fight game, he wasnt in the console version cos his stage got taken out :(. This music was actually from the stage where you fought against him, on the platform list that goes up the scaffolding.
Can't forget the original CPS1 coin-op as well. Anyways, the Bay Area BGM suits him much better than his first theme, which wasn't even heard by those who only owned an SNES (it's FF1 port was the best-selling home port of the game).
@neon6 But remember: We don't know that. He was presumed dead because he was never seen or heard from again, but, they also never found his body. He could make a surprise appearance.
@LivetysWiretys agreed. Sodom needs to be in SFXT, Ono promised we'd see people we haven't see in a while and he's just as good as any. I could see him and Yoshi as potential rivals
Ahhhhh, I had no idea. I had rented FFGuy as a kid, and used to own the 'Cody' version haha, as well as the Sega CD and even the gba versions! :P I guess I really used to be an FF nut cos I had 2 and 3 on snes also. I never got Streetwise though, of course (I REALLY wanted that game to be good!), and I never had a Saturn to get FF Revenge.
Rolento is long overdue for a triumphant return. They could have had him, Punisher and Ghost Rider in MvC3, and the disc would have caught fire because due to Bad Ass overload....
@SuperSwaggKiDD1 I've heard this too. It seems like they're going through each game. We already have a few of the ST characters and 3rd Strike characters. Since they haven't "OFFICIALLY" announced Guy and Cody, I'm guessing we're going to hear about some alpha characters real soon. Crossing my fingers for Rolento and Sodom, Karin and Sakura, and R.Mika and Zangief (That's who her partner would be I'm guessing.) Guy and Coday are already obvious.
Woops, forgot about that. The Industrial Area BGM was indeed included in the sound test of "Final Fight Guy" (the SNES version of FF1 that replaced Cody with Guy....WTF?). Looks like they attempted to include it the second time around but got lazy.
In case anyone's wondering, this theme was inspired by the 'Bay Area' theme of Final Fight...which players hear AFTER beating Rolento in the previous stage! I only remember Rolento having his own theme in the Sega CD version and GBA version of FF1.
exactly you know the history
Final Fight The Bay stage
what i really like about this track is how they take this track from an all time classic game and remake it so flawlessly to please our ears
Back around 2002 when I first got into Mugen I used to always pick Rolento's stage when playing my Capcom Mugen game with my friends, just to hear this song! So many epic matches with Evil Ken, Jedah, and MB-02!
This weirdly sounds like a cross between Heat Man and Slash Man's theme. All three are awesome.
A bit of Hard Man too, definitely sounds like something out of Wily Wars
well its originally the bay area from Final Fight but yeah
@@generationwhyentertainment2455 ironically NOT Rolento's stage, but honestly, this was so much better than the Elevator theme.
Rolento is one epic, insane bastard! Love the song.
+Retro Gaming Guitarist
Well, actually this song is not his theme exactly. It's the theme of the Bay Area from Final Fight, but for any reason they included it in Alpha 2 as Rolento's theme.
Yea they did the same thing with Guy as well.
The beginning of this theme is so good lol
Love this theme music. Loved it since it came out in the 90's. One of my favorite SFA theme. Originally from Final Fight arcade I played back in 1990! Love it!!!
The definitive version..
💯X better than the arcade version!!!!
I loved Rolento's stick attacks in this game and that cable line that he used was cool too!

I completely agree. The music is often what is most memorable. Think of Iori Yagami and you instantly think of the amazing saxophone in his themes!

Your turn Uncle Phil! (Guile's theme goes with everything reference!)
Poison!... *break out Lucille.*
Gesus elsaviour lol
Alex Septon
New headcanon: Rolento's baton is named Lucille
Rolento's original name was meant to be Lawrence, but got corrupted into Rolento. Lucille would be Rushiru.
The perfect song to Rolento: "They see me rollin'"
Lol Mr. Braiolo i remember u from my Dudley mix :) good to see u again
This theme makes me want to drive over some enormous bridge in a huge city while the camera slowly gets further and further away while filming the scene.
The drum track for this is sick!! Well arranged
0:44 My favorite part! So 1989!!
READY? the way he said that always made me LMFAO
this theme too good
His new USF4 theme tho
This BGM theme alone made me not only favor #Rolento but put him in my top 5 most epic #StreetFighters of all time.
He has a pretty interesting gameplay in this game, also he is unintentionally funny with all that over the top military stuff
Sextus70 I definitely agree

First time I played this game on ps1 I couldn’t believe the quality of sound compared to the arcade. It’s 10X better
i love it when the fujitsu sign passes on the stage :)
I hear this song for The first Time in Final Fight and was awesome
Biggest Badass of all time!! He'll click his fingers and hang you from the ceiling while his buddies celebrate on the roof with their knives in the air!

Would make some great pool music.
Perfect memories since I remember the Bay Area from final fight
one of my favorite street fighter theme
Rolento's freight elevator was my favorite street fighter alpha 2 stage!
Love this theme!
I just remember reading he had a finisher where he, "hangs you with a fishing line." It was all about Rolento from that day on.
His theme sounds so familliar, like something out of a Mega Man game.
Make sense. They both was a Capcom games afterall
love it!!!! love it!!!! loooooooooove it!!!!

He looks like a mercenary version of The Riddler.
Melhor thema de sf alpha 2

When they told me that they split vega gameplay in two characters, I never thought one of them would be a weird goblin-man nazi, i love it.

Heat Man.
this theme makes me feel, cool
This sounds really good!
Btw, the 8-bit version in Street Fighter X Megaman sounds great too.
Bass and drums oh my goodness
I always found it weird how Rolento wound up with Abigail's theme for the longest time
