All that said, I'm currently at a cabin in the woods, on a 300mb internet connection, playing Helldivers 2 with damn near 0 latency. It's amazing. I love this thing and my brother-in-law olwants one for his kid now.
What's interesting is, fighting games which are well known for season passes have recently been announcing all characters available in a season pass, guilty gear and SF6. Makes me wonder if steam has been advising this to publishers or if it's a coincidence.
I don’t think so. While Bandai Namco don’t own Guilty Gear, they do publish it. And while that game has changed to show everything in the season pass, Tekken 8 hasn’t yet. And SF6 did it initially because season 1 got leaked anyways

Egg Nog is a Christmas thing that pops up in stores around this time of year. And to describe it, it is essentially a custard milkshake with a light nutmeg/clove flavor. I recommend giving it a go, especially homemade. It should be noted that alchohol is an optional ingredient. I make it without any for my little cousins all the time for Christmas.
EGS PC exclusivity + lack of physical discs killed Alan Wake 2 hype. It's a baffling choice to make for one of the most expensive games in modern era. Hopefully Remedy learned their lesson to never make an exclusivity deal with Tim Sweeney
I mean, you can literally buy Eggnog right now at Coles and Woolies. Also, rum and milk is a long standing ANZAC Day tradition. Skillup does no alcohol and dairy research at all! 😂
Bruh, we do have egg nog in Australia 😂 Just check woollies around Christmas, except you will have to pop by the bottle-O and get some grog to make it authentic egg nog.
Regarding Remedy's lofty sales targets; I actually think those could be achievable, because they put out amazing games-IF Epic gets the stick out of their ass that locks their sales to digital and only the epic store on launch. Like, come on guys, it's basically self-sabotage at this point.
hey just FYI, rollback in fighting games doesn't "support the competitive scene". The competitive scene is offline. Rollback just makes the online better fullstop
Farming Simulator selling 2 million in a week while Alan Wake 2 took over a year to sell 1.8 million is why, SOMETIMES, I hate the other people who play videogames. Madden, NBA 2K, Farming Simulator, FIFA or whatever it's called now. the fact that these sell SO many units despite being little more than roster updates most years is disgusting.
Most of the poor sales numbers are a direct result of the decision to keep it on Epic only. Even if we ignore the anti-Epic zealots, going exclusive limits the audience your game is exposed to. If you're a casual enjoyer of games and not plugged into media like I presume you are, you may have already forgotten that Alan Wake 2 even launched.
It is a bit weird that you skipped the largest announcement the last week: Path of Exile 2. I feel that this is not the first time that this huge game is kinda skipped here.
I dont even think you can buy egg nog with alcohol in it, ive never seen it. but alcohol brands do sell their own egg nog, and all egg nogs are alcohol free.

ergonomically the ps portal is the best portable Sony has produced to date. wish the thumbsticks were slightly larger but outside of that it's a great device for what it is. here's hoping whatever portable they make next has better software support. I've only tried a few latency tolerant games with the new streaming direct to the portal feature, so far it's flawless, but I'll have to try something like remnant II to really get an idea of how it performs.
One issue/worry I have with the new Steam season pass policy is that, for pre-purchased season passes, some content needs to be available the day the game launches. That either enforces day-1 DLC, or means some throw-away cosmetic DLC which some developers may not want to include. And, if a throw-away cosmetic DLC is good enough to serve as the day-1 content for a season pass, it kind of negates that whole rule. That said, I very much like the rest of it.
@samandzac1 yeah, but also you're more likely to get people to sign up to your discounted preorder bundle than you are having them come back 6 months down the line. The "AAA" publishers sure won't skip out on that.
Eggnog is like melted ice cream with bourbon in it...except you can't taste the bourbon. One minute you're drinking it and having a good time, and the next you're naked and falling down the stairs. Crazy shit!
I still use my PSP to this day. Have bought and sold countless models over the years. Also love the Vita and the Anbernic RG35XX. Would absolutely love to see more companies get into the handheld market.
Eggnog is delicious and thick, but in Poland we drink it rather in small glasses because it is very sweet, we call it "Ajerkoniak" or "Advocaat"(a popular Dutch liqueur made of eggs, sugar and brandy).😊 Anyway... Nintendo has also realized that producing games for two consoles at the same time is a bad idea, and is becoming more and more demanding. PS and Xbox should take note of this
It's part of the "You will own nothing and be happy" agenda. You will either bend the knee to Big Brother, or "No games for you!". Part of the propaganda process is repeating an opinion or narrative enough times until people think it's absolute truth. All they have to do is say over and over "Cloud gaming is sweeping over the world" and then normalize it to make it a reality (because they removed any options by claiming it is what people wanted).
Cellphones are available in countries too poor for people to own consoles or PC. Many Asian countries, for example, have amazing internet and phones, but low income citizens. Streaming is perfect for those billions of people.
Playing daily with GeForce Now on the Ultimate tier. Perfect for single player games, okay-ish for Battlefield with the downside of requiring the publisher to opting in their games on the platform but more and more are doing it, especially PC Gamepass.

Regarding Remedy's lofty sales targets; I actually think those could be achievable, because they put out amazing games-IF Epic gets the stick out of their ass that locks their sales to digital and only the epic store on launch.
Like, come on guys, it's basically self-sabotage at this point.
Damn its almost like that epic exclusive state is holding Remedy back.
hey just FYI, rollback in fighting games doesn't "support the competitive scene".
This video is one of the highlights of my week!
23:56 Thaumaturge was so amazing!! It's a love letter to Poland and Warsaw ❤️ I'm from Georgia, and the opening Tutorial level is in Georgia 🇬🇪❤️🇬🇪
It is a bit weird that you skipped the largest announcement the last week: Path of Exile 2. I feel that this is not the first time that this huge game is kinda skipped here.
We def have eggnog in Australia. What you talking about fella 😂
we sell egg nogg in Australia man its like a drinkable custard you can add grog to it but here at least it comes booze free.
they sell it like that everywhere
It'd be bad if nog came with booze by default considering kids also drink it, yes. Most add booze at home or get a mixed.
I dont even think you can buy egg nog with alcohol in it, ive never seen it. but alcohol brands do sell their own egg nog, and all egg nogs are alcohol free.
Here in Austria I’ve only seen it with alcohol in 😂

Sure us Canadians didn't get a Thanksgiving shout out last month lol
Sorry, Alan Wake 2 hasn't come out on the platform of my choice.

so happy to see the chapter integration for the videos
Report: I will never trust Sony again with hand helds after the ps vita.
Liking for the Austin segment
How can you not mention Path of Exile 2 bombdrop of a reveal? Are you kidding me.
Love that you're quoting Steam reviews! Honestly a really cool new addition to the series :D
NO POE 2 ANNOUNCEMENT!!! Ralph! Early access December 6th
It's not destiny so he doesn't care lmao
I appreciate seeing more indie games on here, keep it up!
My Brother, hopefully this message will appear before you eyes as I type them down as, to you, a complete stranger. But one of hundreds of thousands who consume your content on a weekly basis.
Never the less, having caught this video early in it's upload cycle (only 9 min ago) may haps there is a small chance you will glance upon these words and allow me a small window in time to acknowledge to you my appreciation of your hard work. Dedication. And commitment to staying on course for serving us the most honest views you have of our current, past and future gaming landscape.
Thank you brother. Fortune upon you, and may your dedication to this endeavor flourish for many more years to come. I wish well upon you.

I will buy anything Remedy puts out. I've loved them since Max Payne was released, and have loved most of their games. Control and Alan Wake 2 were both amazing games, can't wait to see what's next
My guy, no mention of path of exile 2 at all? Very dissapointed.
As a Victorian I can confirm. Aussies do have eggnog. Even got a Bunderburg version. Get on it mate!
I love that each week you show more steam reviews. Thanks for the news.
Bruh, eggnog has been at woolies and Coles in the milk section since forever!
We even had the Egg Flip Big M!

13:16 oh, I’m living in Japan. People were talking about it the day it came out. Everyone was playing it by day 2.
Ralph, really? Eggnog is not alcoholic by default. It's a very sweet, rich milk and egg based holiday drink and it's DELICIOUS
It's called a joke bro

Why would Xbox bother with a handheld? It'll just be another piece of hardware they make no games for.
Who the hell is making doom the dark ages,Indiana Jones, avowed?
So, like Sony? lol
I agree that xbox sucks, but they have way more games than playstation in this generation, like, more than 2x
Thanks for the timestamps
I love the inclusion of more Steam reviews! It's great to hear a non-media perspective on larger and smaller titles.
Even after winning PC Game Of The Year at the Golden Joystick Awards no mention of Satisfactory - I'm starting to think it's something personal... =P
ergonomically the ps portal is the best portable Sony has produced to date. wish the thumbsticks were slightly larger but outside of that it's a great device for what it is. here's hoping whatever portable they make next has better software support.
Or they just won’t sell it day one if nothings ready, that’s the dream atleast
@samandzac1 yeah, but also you're more likely to get people to sign up to your discounted preorder bundle than you are having them come back 6 months down the line.
The "AAA" publishers sure won't skip out on that.
Eggnog is like melted ice cream with bourbon in it...except you can't taste the bourbon. One minute you're drinking it and having a good time, and the next you're naked and falling down the stairs. Crazy shit!
11:40 not our fault the game isn't on steam
Wouldn't buy it even if it was.

I still use my PSP to this day. Have bought and sold countless models over the years. Also love the Vita and the Anbernic RG35XX. Would absolutely love to see more companies get into the handheld market.
No path of exile mention for big releases next week? Good thing we got news about the gatcha dressup game though...
PS and Xbox should take note of this
Cloud Gaming people, are you actually real? Or are you something that corporate and game journalists just desperately want us to believe *is* real?
I use it! But only to test games to see if they are worth installing. Works pretty well.
Playing daily with GeForce Now on the Ultimate tier. Perfect for single player games, okay-ish for Battlefield with the downside of requiring the publisher to opting in their games on the platform but more and more are doing it, especially PC Gamepass.
Is Alan Wake 2 still exclusive to the Epic Store? If so, that might have something to do with its sales numbers...
What no PoE2 EA shoutout for dec 6th? lol
Thank you for one of the highlights of the week for me. Keep doing what you do

Ben's intro for the Golden Joysticks was amazing. I especially loved the bits by Darren Korb and Erika Ishii.
