Just picked up a Del Sol SiR today myself for £1000. Manual with LSD. Usual rusty arches and needs a few bushes sorting but it’s a lovely little car. Faultless 130 mile drive home. Just got back literally an hour ago.
That's a bargain. I'm sure these are going to be worth alot in the future. I sold mine for £550 8 years ago. I'm kicking myself. Really miss it
Not sure how long ago you got that but an SiR is worth way over a grand… you’d be licking to find an esi with MOT for a grand bow

Really miss mine, had a 1.5 auto with the trans top was a great car to nip round London in, although I can confirm they can be spun round Hyde Park Corner and Marble Arch if pushed

I hade a 1994 with b16 type R motor and lsd transmission in 2006 I miss it

@@jeffruggles1068 yes! when you picked the car up I didn't have access to the garage they were stored in unfortunately and actually thought it may have all been chucked! But Luckily it's still there if you still have my number give me a bell, there's a roof as well as boot and wing all in the correct colour and a spare rear window with the motor and mechanism.

Never understood why people pay so much for ESI when there are plenty around, VTI only sold 1992 to 1995 and wernt many for sale when i bought mine 6 years ago, i won mine on ebay £770 as my HRV was off the road, had been looking for 2nd car and when i thought about the classic old CRX Convertible my mind was decided, always liked the Samba Green but not easy finding VTI so ended up with Paradise Blue Green, kept looking for Samba one and did by Manual roof and planned to convert but just dont find time, plus it looked good when bought, had £1500 spent on rear quarter repairs so like this one, lots of different shades of green, 2 years being outside and arches all bubbling so not sure what sort of job done, mine is too good to swap with one like that, rear arches never been repaired yet, will need attention soon before major job, still less than 100,000 but now needs a few jobs like, clutch, bushes, got 5th gear to swap for lower rpm motorway cruise and reverse gear always had issue and samba one was same, only ever let me down once when wouldn't start from warm after short trip to McDonalds, should of read Guide that tells you to resolder fuel pump relay, used it every summer since bought it at 19 years old, transtop arent major issue, didnt work when bought but resolder wire on tilter and fixed, bought scrap esi 1996 for leather seats and transtop in that had same wire loose, fixed. Only once did roof stop mid closing, had to fix in drive at 1am after getting home from work, first issue in 6 years, wasnt even honda fault, when i put tilter gear cover back, didnt think to put thread lock on screws, tilter lid is upside down when fitted and 6 years had worked them loose, so thats a good tip if you replace gear set. Assume the VTI will go up in value now as Mk2 Vtec, that twin cam noise in Vtec is awesome, who needs loud exhaust with that. Mine still has genuine honda rear box
Have an old magazine from 1992? Feature on Hot Hatches of the day, interesing read, 8 cars all are 1.7, 1.8, 1.9 and 2.0L the only 1.6 is the 1992 Civic VTI, its the fastest 0-60 beating the Escort RS 2000, its the 2nd Fastest 0-100mph just being beat by Escort by 1/2 second or less in it and at same time its one of best for MPG, B16A1 and A2 engines are pretty Impressive. Dont know why people pay so much for old Vauxhall's, Fords etc and yet these Honda's are so low, when Car SOS gonna do a Honda, would of thought Mk1 or 2 CRX would of featured by now
