The castle's story ended when King Gustav Vasa ordered its demolition after the Reformation, leaving behind only ruins of its past glory. Today, the ruins of Kuusisto Bishop's Castle, managed by Metsähallitus, are a perfect destination for families, maritime visitors, and culture enthusiasts.
