@@justint.2858 modern games dont have quality/memorable soundtracks in general compared to games from earlier time periods. In that regard, T:Resistance is excellent.
I bought this game thinking it was gonna be shitty at best but to tell you the truth it was a fantastic game still have yet to finish it. I was stoked to find out they made a terminator game and the characters I should play it over next time I get the chance

@@andrewestrada7568 When she tells Rivers it's her thinking spot, the scene ends with the player camera facing out to the water making the player actually think about their choices. It has been so long since I've seen a game so well developed with fan service that I couldn't even tell you the last time I remember one.
And it's also quite true ... *WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD* - Rivers is stuck in a time loop, given the events of the ending of the game. Destined forever for himself to be going back to protect himself and the rest of his team. So, in essence ... he'll always be there for her, and she will always be there for him, for ever.
I love how the romance plot of this game is in some ways the complete opposite of T1: In T1, Kyle Reese loves Sarah, so he travels through time to the past to be with her and protect her in serving his duty, likely knowing he will die in the process. In Resistance, Jacob Rivers goes back through time to save himself, leaving Jennifer. Maybe he will find a way to survive this time around and reconnect with her after the next version of himself goes back, but nothing is certain. (although his delivery of the epilogue implies he survives)
The crap with Kyle loving Sarah before meeting her was in Genisys, where he fell in love with her based on a picture XD In the first movie they fell in love while escaping from the T800 :) Or am i missing something? How could he be in love when he didnt even meet her?
It's sad that it received negative reviews. I honestly didn't think it was that bad. However, to really appreciate the game you do have to be very familiar with the Terminator franchise.
@@balltongue666 Amen all of us Millenials definitely appreciated it. Those of us who grew up seeing T2 before we saw the first one. I always wanted a movie based on the war that started the movies. They hit it out of the park with this game.
I loved this game and I’m a huge fan of terminator movie I 100% this game in 3 days playing non stop and on my first play through got the best ending with every one surviving but this scene and then looking out at the water was like theirs still time and hope to win this war against the machines and Skynet. After all it’s a self learning computer but even then it can still be tricked and defeated
In my playthrough I ensured the events of the first two films happened, the central core was destroyed but at a terrible cost...... My friends, my lover and her son, whom I convinced to stay with the resistance all died. Now I must go back in time for one final mission and change their fates and perhaps even my own..... Goddamn I love this GAAAAMMME!!!!! So much fun!!!

It's amazing the same motif can be made to sound apocalyptic, sad/heroic and romantic.

tbf one of the endings has you not go back in time and it's implied you live a new life with Jennifer
Rivers went back in time to correct his past mistakes, maybe the "ending" when he travelled back, Jennifer died like she can in the game.
