That I because follow me function is turned on. That means that indoor unit uses remote for room thermostat and when it shows 29 that is current room temperature but temp that says 16 is temp you settled that it normal. To turn it off keep pressing set until that human icon starts flashing. When it flashes press ok and problem is solved
for solve this problem when your air conditioning unit is on you must press and keep pressing led button by around 5 seconds or till you hear an beep , is a function that the unit show up the environmental temperature,, once you disable that the indoor unit and remote unit will show the selected temperature you constantly.

Hehe it's not a malfunction. You have the "follow me" function on. The high temperature is the temperature of the room taken from the sensor in the remote. You have set it to 16. You can switch it off by pressing "Set" and then "OK"
@Khairun Fatin I believe the remote u press on up and down is to set the temperature of the AC. As it set and beep sound, the "set temperature" went off on the remote. That means after you set the temperature, the remote shows you the temperature in your room. Mine remote, same as yours, can be adjusted whether in "set temp" or displayed the current room temperature. By removing the "person" 🤵♂️ on top of the remote display.
@mima MachMacha i dont know how to explain even further 😅. The remote after you set the temperature, suddenly change to another value (of course higher than set temp) than what you set. It seems like it is not your air conditioner operating as displayed on the remote. The value changes whenever after you click on up/down set temperature due to it displaying your current room temperature.

I have same problem and I have not the follow me function on, it's definitively a PCB or something misfunction

You have to click on set and remove the little person sign on top.
The set temperature is 16 afterwards it shows the room temperature as 29.
I know now how to correct that. Long press the led button. ❤

I think you had some literation issues, the 29° on the remote was the room's temperature, not the desired temperature.
