My school had an art competition, I entered (7th grade) and that thing was stupid- like I’m not saying mine was better but they definitely didn’t care abt talent or effort since 1st and 2nd place were below the grade 6th. They could have hade different grade levels?! Not to mention different genres since second was a poem- we didn’t even get our art pieces back they just took them, but we got to take a picture with it to put on their website I guess 🙄

Her "breakthrough" wasn't that big a deal. If an adult had done it, it would've gotten no media coverage. If anything, this story is evidence that schools need more funding for project equipment, since ALL kids are naturally curious and will ask questions and search for answers as far as they can go. Unfortunately, most kids have nowhere near the amount of money this kid's parents spent on all those aquariums and equipment for her project.

      Braces

It's one thing to claim the little girl came up with the idea to empirically test the exact salinity at which lionfish can survive. It's another to tell the media she pointed out an environmental threat that no one was aware of. The first sounds like it's definitely the case. The latter is just plain lying.
