maybe (definitely) because five was in love, when that happens you naturally soften (as you can see with five towards lila) hence why you don’t see him acting that way with her
I don’t think he wants to be a grumpy old man anymore. This season has a 5 years difference. There isn’t any apocalypse stress no losing his family no nothing. He can live a normal life. He just grew up 1:18
Five years with no powers living a normal human life. Cockiness is still there, but more subdued. People forget that fives 56 when initially comes back to the group and then we see him in a support group saying he’s actually 63. He’s lived a full life as an adult and then came back as a Boy all his memories intact. He warned Diego that he had a beautiful life and that he shouldn’t be grudge Lila a bit of time to herself
Maybe five is a little different because he is a bit older, as much as he is older when he escapes the apocalypse he was thrown straight in to trouble and has t stopped since. In this show he has had 6 years to go at a slower pace and without powers. By the end of the season he is late 60s mentally. Or it may be that he has gotten used to being young again.
I know Five in this eps seems changed but I kinda feel happy to see him relax a bit and not thinking on how to avoid apocalypse. Oh, and I enjoy Aidan's and Ritu's acting here despite all the character changes etc.. yea unpopular opinion for sure.
Five deserved to be happy and loved, but not with Lila. She ended up breaking the Fifth's heart anyway, saying that it's over. In the end, she didn't stay with him. I sincerely believed that the end would be happy and the Fifth would find a girl who would love him as much as he loved Dolores.
I get why five didn’t seem himself seasons one two and three were a span of one month for him season 4 Takes Pl. 6 years later he would be more comfortable in his body, a little bit more grounded to earth now that he hasn’t stopped an Apocalypse in a while meaning that his character actually has an opportunity for good character growth but instead they decide to have him be a homewrecker which is so weird. Like we’re talking character growth that his character can’t have in the comic books, but can have in the show.
I loved seeing the two of them together, the five of them, Laila, I ship this couple, they really have a lot of chemistry, I was already feeling that they were going to have something at the beginning of the episode, because of their smiles, until for the first time we see the five of them smiling, because of the exchange of looks I was already feeling everything they faced and went through together when they kissed people I freaked out with joy I ship this couple a lot to me, she has much more chemistry with Five than with Diego (especially because Diego is the brother I I like it less) especially because Laila wasn't happy in that marriage, she wasn't in Diego, they were fighting, she was happier with five, their looks were really beautiful, I thought it was really cute, the two of them together or five of them in love, people, I never thought I'd live to see the five in love with him kissing Laila saying he just wants to please her the look in his eyes in love with her she with him him calling her love so cute this scene so like I didn't wish he had left that timeline for me that could having stayed there watching them happy, and he also deserves love after everything he suffered in life, he went through to save his family and get trapped in the apocalypse, first time in four seasons that we saw the happy five, hey guys, I don't care if Whoever didn't like it, whoever hated it won't change my opinion, I ship Laila and I five her in my heart, I wish she had stayed in that timeline together Not to mention that their relationship is not toxic, it was a healthy relationship, we see the beautiful and cute way that Five treats Laila and she is also happy, I ship Five e Laila ❤️(People are complaining that Lila cheated on Diego but her marriage was unhappy, she herself said she wanted some time to reevaluate her marriage, she said it herself, and another five and Diego They never got along, they only had a few moments because most of the time they were fighting, I love Cinco, I liked seeing him with Laila, I don't care if most people hated it, they thought it was nothing to watch. I hate how five just accepts death without a second thought after spending his entire life trying to save his family. Like the whole reason they even got stuck on the subway was so he could save his family. He only gave up after Lila rejected his ass, too. He’d really rather die than see his woman happy with another man 💀💀 (Other than that, I liked it)
