THANK you DUDE
👍
Great teacher. Subscribed! Thank you.
Awesome, thank you!
When I get to 2:37, my resulting model is not the same. There are lines in the corners and they are not as smooth as in your model. I followed the entire procedure perfectly. Maybe because I'm working in version 0.21.2? It keeps saying "recompute failed".
Did you manage to get it working by refining shapes?
@@AllVisuals4U yes. The "auto define" was disabled. Now It's ok.
Great!
@@AngelusFromHellhow you solve that
Nice! Could you have selected the four holes in the shape binder too and have them automatically be not-extruded? Saves a sketch and dimensioning. :-)
Thanks! I wanted the holes to be a little bigger than the threads, that's why I didn't select them. But good question, I haven't tried it yet!
This is what I have been looking for, but when I try padding it gives me a multible solids error.
Thanks! You can't extrude multiple solids in one body in the Part Design workbench. You have to make more bodies or use the Part workbench.
@@AllVisuals4U I was not actually trying to extrude multiple solids. I was trying to add mounting posts and I guess FreeCAD thought I was trying to use multiple solids. I tried creating them a different way and eventually got it to work.
Great! 👍
Hi i want to print that is i need to split the cover and base or i print with as it is
You can select one body in Ondsel and export that to an STL. Do the same for the cover. Then you have 2 different models that you can print!
very good work
Thanks, you're welcome!
Once you extrude quarter circle, there is no second line on inner wall - disappearing as suppose, but no on my cad.
I do everything as you WTF is wrong with this program?
Make sure all vertices are connected (drag them with your mouse). Then you can see if there are loose lines. Als extrude up to the bottom. Hope that helps, let me know!
@@AllVisuals4U Thanks buddy, It was refine option on False ...
@skystep2 👍
Nice video, I followed it as practice, but don't know why "uncheck this box to disable real thread", is it necessary?
You're welcome! It's more for the speed of FreeCAD. Modeling threads can be really slow!
help me!! please freecad say Cannot use selected object. selected object must belong to the active body
Consider using s shaperbinder a basefeature to reference external geometry in a body
Hi, At which part of the video did you get that message?
I get it!! Thanks. Do I made 200x140 what I need to change@@AllVisuals4U
Can u share the file
For your personal use, i can share it with you, what is you e-mail?
@@AllVisuals4Ui Tried many times but I got stucked there 2:44 when ever I tried the thread compartment not merged to the box it touched that side of the box but it in one object when I touch that it has lonely ,not bind to the top face box the box😢 so why I asked the file . Can you help me to solve the issue
Can you try to refine shapes? It is a setting somewhere. Hope that helps!
Very nice and short tutorial, when replicating however my surfaces of the thread pads won't merge with the thickness surface. Do you have some settings different from default or?
Also why add fillets later on, and not start with it when creating the base body?
Thanks! I always do fillets and chamfers later, so I can change then more easily. Can you tell me at which part of the video you have problems (timestamp)?
@@AllVisuals4U Not sure if I can even consider it a problem more like not getting equal outcome, during ruclips.net/user/clipUgkxi3M30Ps46UyWFqYZWJhZQUA5QVQrNY6B the new pad top surface merges into a single surface with the top of the body, this does not happen for me.
Thanks for the clip! Are you sure you are modeling inside the same body as the base part?
@@Xavanteex For the pad and mirror set the property refine to true
@@AllVisuals4U How did it turn out, I have the same problem ?

That's awesome, thank you!
whenever i add the radius i get the error code, i need help😓
Do you mean the four arcs at the corners?
You can try to draw circles and then trim a part of the circle.
Can I get the file to modify this to my requirements
