Did you miss the part at the beginning where he said he wrote the code to Vidstream? So you can either use his ready made package to make it simpler for you, or write your own code to do what the package does.

Because if it is not on native linux it has some issues. Also I like the JetBrains environments and I can still enjoy the benefits of the Vim bindings.
