Hello from Japan! I'm also doing a fenderless custom rebel, but I was very surprised by the exact same method! I came up with this method last month and customized it, but the video of the poster was 4 years ago! That's excellent! I should have watched this video sooner!
Right! It just looks cool, and lots you can do to it, def not the fastest but its got a nice design and enough power for most people plus a modern engine so I dont have to fuck with carbs and all that,
Man I'm glad i found your channel. I've had my mind set on the rebel for my first bike. You just motivated me even more. Your videos are very helpful/easy to watch.
I would be curious to see what it looks like with that mini fender, not sure if I like the fender-less look or not. Nice video as always, solid explanation and engineering
EN187 that would be awesome if you did. I’ve been looking into buying one but would rather see an install video first before I pull the trigger on buying it.
Bro, youre making it so damn hard on me not riding. Gotta heal up faster and get insurance off their ass and replace my gear. Bikes lookin fire. Cant wait to roll up there and check her out.
a custom fender would look cool to so it can do rain riding, but it's all good as it's like customizing a a car, it's all in the flavor of the ones teast
To those complaining bout the rain i say screw the front and even rear fenders bobs looks raw and just plain badass & post apocalyptic without em …..in rain keep it above 50mph and you’ll have nothing to worry about just invest in a good leather jacket and shower if u ever get caught unexpectedly and move over to the left or right to avoid front splash…. full face helmets helps too and if u wana reduce spray a bandana helps if u tie it off the front forks…:) later
I like these buy not sure if it has the balls for freeway speeds in Texas I usually (in my car) cruise at about 80 mph I don’t think I want to try that on this little bike but just wondering if you could let me know does it cruise comfortably at atleast 70?
I did a video on this, it will do 80 easy no problem, had it up to 92 but backed off cuz it was still brand new I will have to do a top speed run soon now that I have my 1st oil change done and over a 1000 miles on it
Loool fuk, I did this and connected all the wires and my speedometer and LED tail lights won't come on now. Help. ._. ( Edited) Nevermind. Just blew a fuse . Must have crossed wires on something. Thank you for making a thorough walkthrough of this modification. Helped A LOT.
So I'm concerned about something o.o.... After doing this modification, I notice a little more heat from the rectifier under the seat. Not sure if that's normal due to less load from the LED lights VS the original lights, or if the position of the new brackets changed the position of the rectifier, causing the heat to be more noticeable or what. What is too hot? For example, after riding for maybe 5+ minutes i notice some warmth IN MAH BUTT. Not super hot, seems to stay the same temp, doesn't get hotter, but many concerns... many... concerns...
Is that a shrink wrap you used for the end of the protruding part of the signals lights? You said something about a vacuum to neat it up u I’m not sure what it is?
Very clean mod, do you know where I can get the wiring harness on its own so that I don't have to cut the one that comes with the fender? I've seen several, just don't know if I need to get a specific one for the rebel.
This is awesome. Im really wanting to do this for my 500, but rainy day would be an issue lol also, not sure if it's legal to do it here in Australia but im tempted to push my luck with this lol
Did you install a relay? All of the LED installations I have seen have "hyper-flash" because of the lowered draw of the LED lights in comparison to the incandescent bulbs. Are the X-Arc blinkers different in some way?
Also I would have stuck that tiny fender on simply because when it rains you're going to get more water on your back then you will on the rest of your torso combined lol
On brighter sunny days, do you find the rear lights to be bright enough to actually be seen by other drivers? My biggest fear is that I'll replace them and people aren't going to see them and im just gonna get rear ended🤦🏽♂️ we all know how much people pay attention when driving nowadays lol
I'm trying to install a aftermarket product to my Honda rebel, it requires access to the indicator lights and the brake lights harness, is the brake lights harness and the indicator lights harness located under the seat?
Do they make the stick on kind for bikes? My buddy has a set for his street rod that he got from Tirestickers.com or something like that and they look real.
[EDIT/Recomment: Sorry this is the video I meant to send this comment to, and not the your plate lights video] Hello again, would love to maybe do this to my future rebel. Although I don't have any experience to wiring and soldering. Do have a video where you actually solder the tail lights. Or possibly a detailed video of you soldering the plate lates? I got a bit confuised when you breifly mentioned what wires to use when adding the plate lights lol. If not, do you recommend a "plug and play" product that comes close to your DIY project?
Do you know if the x arc bolts fit into the stock fender? Im thinking of using them as my brakelight and blinkers, getting rid of the ugly brick and mounting the lights on the stock fender however I'm not sure if its the same bolt.
Hey, how are you doing man? I want to shortened a little bit the rear fender until the bolt of the rear passenger. So my question is, do you think that this cut could affect the structural strength? Because I carry people once in a while and I want to know if this could be dangerous

I have seen, I have heard they are kinda cheaply made, That tail kit I got to do the fender delete is from them and I would have to agree, fitment was ok, required a little work... The actual plastic fender that I didn't put on that came with the kit looked alright but still cheaply made / looking
@@EvilNeil187 how do you think i can get a shorty rear fender while also having enough room for a passenger seat? My gf still wants to ride but i hate the stock rear fender

awesome! glad you found me! such a great bike you will love it!
I got one 2019 rebel 500 runs great and not a lot of money new and a good entry level bike easy to ride.
I chose Harley Davidson Sporster 48 for my first bike. The rebel was in close race for choice though.
Looks good but I'm guessing this won't be a rainy day bike, back spray time.
Yeah sunny days only, unfortunately not many of those currently :(
10:19 “one small package kind of exactly what i wanted”… said no woman ever!!!
Man that bike is looking sweeter every time I see it 🤙 and those blinkers are something else so freaking cool
Yeah its coming along awesome, I really like the looks of it!
You did this so professionally, I’m very satisfied 😂 super impressive
Thank you!! 😁
clean bike brother, i was looking into a ninja 400 but a rebel 500 is just screaming for me more and more
get that new 1100cc rebel!
Looks much better without the rear fender, completely changed the look of the bike, what a clean set up 😎 🤙🏻

They are super bright def help get drivers attention with a ton of programmable flash patterns plus sleek styling.
What clamps were used on the front turn signals?
I'd like to see your back when it rains.
Because riding in the rain you can only get wet while riding without a rear fender? Or do you ride with an umbrella? Lol

New rider here - maybe dumb question: issues with mud/rocks/rain no fender riding?
