Im EMS if it happens you put it in your report. If you as a paramedic/firefighter or EMT and someone says they "hit him" you ask hit him with what. And if it turns out hit him with a car you put that down in your report.
The fact NO firefighters or paramedics recorded her saying that in their reports tells me it DID NOT HAPPEN.
If it didn't happen you don't include it. If you remember something you forgot to put it you amend your report. No amendments were made to the PCRs.
@@InLieuTubethat's where I really doubt all of them. You hear someone saying I hit him and no one is like "with what?" Or "hey officer she's saying she hit him" like dude is clearly not okay, a crime may have been committed and there is multiple police officers there but none of the fire/ems thought to say something to them immediately when they supposedly heard her saying she hit him. Either they're all incapable of performing their jobs or they're lying.

I think the female FF would have been OK had she not initially answered "I went to high school with a girl by that name." It totally came off as her trying to distance herself from ANY type of relationship, acquaintance or otherwise. After the defense got a hold of her, she lost complete credibility.
Exactly!! Exactly! She set her own self up from the beginning and lost ALL credibility as far as I’m concerned.
True. The thing is there's been so much harassment of witnesses by Karen's online defenders that it could make even the most innocent bystander nervous and wanting to distance themselves, but I doubt the online harassment campaign will be allowed in.
This defense team is impressive; seems to be doing an excellent job.

I'd assume she'd be able to remember something that happened two years ago much easier than something that happened 10+ years ago

Hanging out at a beach you’ve gone to multiple times with multiple different people over multiple years and not being able to pick out where you are by your bikini isn’t very weird at all. You were swimsuits multiple times over years. I have several pictures of myself with a group of four that I played in a golf tournament over several years. I really only knew one of the ppl in the pic. But there are at least 10 pics over years with me with two other people, but I know very little about the other two ppl. I don’t dislike them, I just don’t really know them.
The judge made a huge mistake not letting these pictures in. The jury deserves to know all the information when deciding if a woman should spend the rest of her life in prison.
There is more to come on this. She was actually on the track team with the girl and I feel like the defense team has receipts coming

Each other- another area potentially Jennifer McCabe is the puppeteer and wants to make sure their butts are covered. I look at photos from 20 years ago and usually remember where I was- at the least. I feel McGlaughlin was definitely coached by someone to say I don’t know.
She should have been forced to recuse. She knows the murderers from 34 Fairview very well, like most of canton pd\fire \emt and staties.
Medic here, I’ve responded to a call for my husband’s grandfather, my own uncle and a highschool friend’s son who had passed suddenly. I’ve run into “acquaintances” many times… seems like they don’t want to sound shady but comes across as shady.
That female fire fighter came off so disingenuous and shady. Her inability to answer a question with a yes or no and the paraing of every word makes her seem very unreliable.

I have talked to my husband about this case maybe two or three times and I explained to him that she was dating a cop or married to a cop because I really don't know their relationship and I told them about the paramedic the other day who couldn't remember if he had gotten back out of the ambulance he never notated anything in his report and it absolutely looks like they are trying to cover up something. And my husband never ever plays into any of that stuff if he thinks it looks like a cover up I think she has a pretty good chance of getting off a lot of people think that they're framing her and if we all think it I'm sure the jury thinks it

I think this witness knows WAAAAYYY more about Kaitlyn Albert then she's telling. She was extremely shady and defensive. Not a good look to me.
Graduated the same year & ran cross country track together where the were all friendly as were the parents!

My dad was a process server/private investigator and we’re from a small town. He was always very upfront when taking jobs that all conflicts were laid out. Being called to investigate my mom’s business’s landlord’s fiancé, serve my ex’s mom with divorce papers… all had to be very transparent. Even when he served the roommate of a kid my brother was friends with he had to disclose! And you know when you show up, that’s who lives there.
She made it weird for no reason! I agree with you!
I don’t belive that take, they have a close relationship they did track in high school together, took trips together. And not sure if her lawyers know but they also are Venmo friends . She was hiding the relationship

Exactly!! That’s what bothers me about the first responders testimony’s. They are fighting too hard to keep a certain narrative regardless of facts proving different. That doesn’t sit well.
I noticed that too. Especially the guy who said she was being snarky. Seemed biased to me and like he wanted to get that in his testimony
I agree… and if KR blamed Keri Robert’s for why she was now being forcibly sectioned… I’d be snarky/pissed considering the whole situation… and not knowing if her worst fears of John O’Keefe having passed were true yet or not at this point

They’re taught the defence is going to ask difficult questions and try to trip them up. That the defence is the enemy and that’s in any case
They are prepped to say I don’t remember. I don’t know. I can’t say now etc.
They sit around and discuss the case adding and things taking things away while developing more and more animosity towards the defence

Her story did change in a substantial way. Yesterday she said she didn’t report it bc a police officer was there and said he’d “get Goode”. Now we learn her initial statement said she only said it to another civilian. Huge difference.
Especially since that officer that was standing there that said he'd get Goode has already testified and didn't say this.
That's why she won't say who the cop is.
It changed a lot and she actually did as asked, did your story evolve? She answered, yes. Part of her story was that she didn’t report what Karen said or tell a cop because (as she actually said originally - Karen told the other woman there) I hit, I hit him, I hit him - that the cop was there and commented and heard it, but that was totally different than her original statement which never once mentioned a cop over hearing and going to talk to the Sargent right away. Little things ARE very important.
I think she knows Caitlin Albert more than an acquaintance. And she kept answering if she knew the location of the photos, she always said, I don't know the location "exactly."
If this case isn’t the EPITOME of reasonable doubt, I will never know what is. Nothing shocks me, but I’d be very surprised if they were to find Ms. Read guilty.

exactly the state havent proved anything soo far im guessing here but if they asked the emts if the injuries were caused by a car thed said no one said yes because of how far he was off the rd which is not a viable answer. le didnt even do a proper investigation how can they find her gulity. the injuries sounds like he was beat up and dont get me started on the 22 sec phone call between the alberts guy in the house to the cop that was at the party at 2am. i really feel she is innocent im maybe wrong but soo far all the atate has proved she was upset hystrical distraught ect and she was saying stuff like i hit him if u think about it if she dropped him off been drinking when she came back hes lying in the snow its logical she prob thought omg iv hit him.jmo. thx peter for helping wi the lawyer stuff all helps.

How strange that a person who has known a woman for over a decade, gone on many trips with her, but doesn't know who she is when asked about her..... totally not a cover up, and she just happens to give testimony which helps the Albert's get away with framing someone foe a murder the Albert's committed.
Pretty crazy a woman her age couldn’t even recall the bathing suit.
I could usually narrrow down any picture of myself within 3-5 years easily.
I saw one of the "acquaintance" pictures. Based on stars & stripes beer can, it was 2021 & the picture was of "very close" besties imo
I absolutely think she knows way more than she gave in her testimony. She is 28 years old, she doesn’t remember hanging out with the people in the photos or where she was or where she went with these people. She has a picture with her arm around Albert with a beer in the girls hand, so unless they’re underaged, this was probably 7 or less years ago. She apparently has a bad memory for someone so young. She made her whole testimony awkward for herself and was very uncomfortable and just looked like she was lying or omitting the truth. Nobody responds, “I don’t know. I don’t remember. I don’t recall;” unless you do in fact, know, remember and recall and want to hide it. I’m sure she was coached to act and say that.

Could be. Way he asked questions or suggested things, then he writes the report. That's why police reports are not evidence (also thinking how police can use "trickery or rouses" to get information). Others have already said that's not what they told him. So either he's lying or they are or both.
This judge is dirty! She's always shutting down the defense, not allowing them to do their jobs.
She sided with the defense a bunch today though, I think she's been very fair.

I wish you had left in the last questions Jackson was able to ask the witness . He described the pictures she was in with Kaitlin. Including the fact that she was in a pic with her arms around her, holding a beer, in bathing suits. That was powerful. Most people wouldn’t be comfortable with being that close with a mere acquaintance.

I noticed that as well. Subtle but very interesting how she answered almost everything as "I don't recall" or "I don't remember", but she knows for sure Kaitlyn hasn't been at her house but doesn't remember if she's been to hers?
The jury may get aggravated with the cocky defense attorney.

I have one❣️ At 59, I choose wisely. With maturation and a lot of therapy I eliminated the unhealthy relationships that no longer served me. I believed I had more friends when I was younger but finally realized they weren’t true friends. My comment is probably irrelevant to the topic but nonetheless wanted to share.

Hi Peter & All 😊 I have a good friend who’s a fire chief here & it turns out there are some bad seeds .. one had been a firefighter and my friend said they were so happy to see him go!! He is now in the police department .. my friend believes for whatever reason he was beaten up and dumped.. he shared more but that’s the gist .. hopefully the bad guys will be exposed, but I don’t know 😢😢

This is what I am wondering, and they perhaps took advantage of KR and her lapse in memory due to drinking and maybe put it in her ear that she could have possibly hit him. It wasn’t until later that she realized she was used or framed it appears to me what little had. Even presented. I’m only following what jury is following.
I am thinking your friend has good reasons for believing as he does about this case. Many in that town probably think there is truth in the story that was reported to the defense team just a day or so after KR was first arrested. The tipster gave too many details that turned out to be accurate for the story to be simply made up.

Too much Turtleboy. When you set up Venmo, if you allow contacts from social media everyone on your friends list shows up. I literally just got Venmo 3 weeks ago and saw it on my own account. I have friends on Facebook that I haven't seen in 12 years- they showed up on my Venmo.
Venmo automatically makes anyone in your phone contacts your Venmo friend, so it really doesn’t say too much. I have people in my contacts that I haven’t seen or talked to in 20 years. They’re in fact not my friends - just never deleted their info from my phone….
I had a cat that had stones block his urethra. His bladder backed up to the point where he became immobile. His brain was affected but my first thought was a brain injury. My thought was... did I sit on him? Did I step on him? Was it me? It was logical to me that it was something I did but was unaware of because I am large and active in the house. So I sympathize with someone asking "did I hit him?" Or even saying. "I hit him! 😮" Thinking was there any point that I could have been unaware?
Also there is a big difference between "I hit him!" and "I hit him?"... Exact same words. The witness yesterday repeated the words twice, but the second time she did it sounded like a question.
I agree. And as for Karen first asking repeatedly “is he dead?”, the fire rescue Lt testified that he did tell her that they had hope, wanted to give her hope, and he was not authorized to call a death. After that, I can sure understand her mind trying desperately to understand what happened.
I just had my kitty go through something similar. I hope your cat is doing better now! It’s so stressful when they’re not well.
Jen was also telling her he never came inside and probably brought up the cracked taillight.
Cats are good at hiding illness and are often very sick by the time they show any symptoms. My cat has blocked multiple times.
I think the view was cool too. I think this should be done in every trial. Thanks for keeping up with this trial, Peter. You always do an excellent job, and I can’t tell you how much I have learned just by listening. I often watchcertain episodes more than once, because there’s just so much to learn. The law is truly fascinating.❤

This witness tried way too hard to distance herself to the point where she did not appear credible. It's not believable that she would not remember something that happened 10 years ago. An outfit, a photo, a location...really? Not likely.
Katie and Caitlin ran track together at canton high school. They knew each other. They hung out together. Are they friends now I have no idea. Canton is your typical townie suburb.
I also thought it was weird that she said she’s KNOWN her for 10 years but she graduated 10 years ago so she’s known her longer…

I definitely do not remember all my outfits and people I went to school with. There will be pictures where I won't remember who they are and where exactly they were taken. Guessing some people socialise more than others.... If he pulled pics that aren't going all the way to high school, then he would have my attention.

The last time we socially hung out was xyz. It’s not that difficult for a 28 year old to remember. Unless she wants to forget that is.
I think the way she did not come out and admit she knew Kaitlyn and she would not admit who asked to interview with Proctor makes it seem like a coverup.
I'm surprised the ER doctors weren't questioned about the nature of the injuries and possible causes.

If you’ve actually seen the layout of where his body was found in the yard and the way to road is with the curve in it litterally right where his body was. How narrow the road is. First they said she did a 3 point turn and hit him. Then switched it to the 62 feet at 24.2 mph or thereabouts. They say it was a blizzard and snowing. It’s literally almost IMPOSSIBLE to get to almost 25mph in REVERSE hit him throw him 12 ft into the yard with a curb there. I’m so glad the jury got to to actually see the house and road and yard. So they understand exactly how small it really is where they are saying she backed up and hit officer o keefe. With absolutely NO tire tracks in the yard none of the short. The laws of physics just make it impossible for a car to hit a 6’2 220-230lb man at 24ish mph and make him launch into the yard. Just don’t work like that in the world
Could he have stumbled there and collapsed? Then the snow covered his footprints? I still don’t think there was enough evidence to bring charges much less convict.
Where is his shoe?? Never showed up like the pieces of the tail light?

@@butterbeanqueen8148 the reason I say no he couldn’t have stumbled to where he ended up is because he ended up directly on his back parallel with the road and legs fully extended arms to his side. He was laying there like he would be laying in a casket from the testimony I heard of the way the medics said he was when they arrived. Also the foot print thing I don’t believe because there has been different testimony of how much snow was actually on him. One said he had just a dusting covering him. Another said he has a dusting just up to his stomach area and no snow the rest of the way up. Also. If you look at the picture of him where there said he was laying he was clearly laying on top of the snow. So there was absolutely no ground exposed. No blood in that snow of evidence of it pooling and Remeber and we will hear again he lost over half the amount of blood in his body. Where is it? And of it didn’t start snowing till after 10pm as testimony says he would of been on the ground almost with a body print around him with snow around the entirety of his body. Warm something up to 98 degrees and lay out in the snow and it will melt. His body would cool down but it would take a little bit for that to happen and the amount of snow we see on the cars in the videos that are in the driveway has no where close to 6 inches imo
@@platedlizard well a shoe was never seen at the scene from any of the first responders that was atleast 5 officers all walking around the area. Probably because they didn’t plan on saying Karen backed into him at first where trying to make it look accidental. So they left one shoe off. No one with half a brain and just a little common sense would ever get me to believe that multiple officers searching for anything of evidence would of missed absolutely everything including a size 12 shoe. A blind man with a stick could of walked around enough and found that. Not even ONE piece of red plastic was found but then 45 pieces of plastic all scattered.? Just go look at scenes of fatal mva of car to pedestrians and you see the difference from the case and the way it has come out of how he was laying and everything else
No one other than the people at the after-party even checked out the inside of the house to see if an altercation occurred inside the house!

This is exactly why I avoided coverage of this case before it went to trial. Most of you already have your minds made up, so just outright say that rather than calling every damn witness a lying succubus. If I was on the Jury, I would find the Defense's overly hostile cross-examination style as extremely off-putting.
@@michele36618I agree with this! She couldn’t really do that because well they were in a graduating class of 200 & they were on the track team together. It wasn’t social media it was venmo. Which I don’t believe existed 10 years ago and they have to be in your phone as a contact to show up as friends in the app.

The fact that these jurors get to go see the site of the ‘accident’ (or whatever happened happened!) In this case really drives home the fact that the house at the center of the Kohberger case Should NOT have been destroyed!!!
That house wouldn't even be close to the same condition it was when the murders happened. Completely different situation.

Where the eye witness stood is a HUGE piece of evidence and combined with a strange house layout it could make ALL the Difference to actually stand in that spot as the prosecution shows the murderer’s footsteps during the crime. A murder scene 1 year later is completely different from a murder scene 4 years later.
No, it's completely different. The house had been ruined by the investigation and it was unsafe from chemicals and stuff. If either party felt a walkthrough was relevant, then it would have been kept

She was not believable. We as females recognize attire and photographs. She was too well spoken on the questions she wished to answer to have so many lapses of memory about a high school friend. And clearly she knew whose house that was even if she had only been in a vehicle dropping off Caitlin......her testimony was direct evidence imo of the defense point of view.
Peter love the way you're analyzing the trials. After listening to some of this witnesses testimony I think she has locked in the words of what happened to help convict. Regardless of the real facts I wouldn't find her testimony credible, I would weigh other witnesses only, giving her testmony no weight in my decision in fact if I saw more of this from others I'd find not guilty

Huge fan of Jackson and his style. A couple years ago watches the Spector trial and was so impressed on his presenting of the states case. He was kind of a nightmare on cross when defense presented there, couldn’t control his emotions. Seeing how he has evolved now is extremely impressive. Very much a master of his trade.
Have you picked up on the judges coughing? She coughs and about 10-15 seconds later the commonwealth objects. Almost every time. You should look into it. I counted it today. It’s quite obvious

Police are trying to make her look bad, imo. Imbalanced. It is clear FD did not think her behavior was anything but grieving and experiencing traumatic event. She still had blood on her mouth from cpr. Idk I wish she could have been handled compassionately.
Karen hadn't to return to the scene, she never left the scene. Fire fighters had to return to get her after taking John away from the scene

She seemed surprised and uncomfortable when asked if she knew Caitlin. And her not being open about mutual friend group until pushed made things weird.
If the Commonwealth does not produce the Officer who was referenced as overhearing Karen’s admission the Commonwealth has no chance of getting jurors to believe them.

It’s awkward because they may have mutual friends, they would probably say hello at the jewel (grocery store-idk what Boston has…Giant?), but she doesn’t testify that they are close. Jury will have to weigh if they believe that or not.

@Rollh1996 I had something similar happen to me albeit in the UK. Some guy was assaulted and passed out in my front yard. 4am in the morning and my doors knocking. I got questioned by the police to see if i knew the person, if I'd seen anything it was pretty scary.
I didn't have cameras at the time but luckily a neighbour did.
I definitely felt like the police were suspicious of me until it was established I had no idea who he was or what happened

I'm not a legal expert but I've never heard a judge say "I'll allow it this time" when the prosecution is trying to object. As if she's working with the prosecution.
It is becoming obvious to most people about the bias. If this cover up is true, it is scary cuz it could be you or me.
She is working with the prosecution and even so much as coaching him lol. She has ties to the Albert family too.

I'm actually shocked she was charged. There is absolutely no case here. If anything, they overcharged her. If, and I say if she may have accidentally hit him because of the alcohol. She will absolutely be cleared of this.

That’s why the story was changed from she accidentally backed up into him, making it impossible for the body to have gotten thrown so far, to she deliberately backed up for 60ft and hit him at 24mph. Yet there’s no tire tracks on the lawn. So the suggestion is the vehicle hit him and then immediately completely stopped moving. Momentum of the vehicle would have made that impossible.
On top of that, there’s no damage to the tailgate of the vehicle. Then there’s the broken taillight… The taillight that was intact in security video from ~4:00am.

We think the iPhone would definitely record O'Keefe walking up & down the stairs accurately.......& I agree with European admissibility of lie detector results, Europe, & England, have very much more advanced designs of lie detectors. Completely agree, LYK, I think this lady was prepped entirely wrong. It's simply not believable that she just "can't recall" a single moment she's photographed with the other woman - it's almost as if she barely knows this woman exists at all (and we know this isn't true). Really bad strategy from the Pros. who clearly prepped her. All this did was make her look very shady & like she's trying to hide something. If you were to pull any photo off my FB where I'm pictured with friends in the past 10 years, I'll remember exactly where we were and what we were doing. For her to suddenly distance herself entirely from all these memories is super sus to me. Terrible Pros. strategy.
It was actually good for defence that the pix didn't come in. They weren't that incriminating but the jury just knows there was a long discussion there are pix they don't get to see them. When they hear cover op and now there's pix that are mentioned they suspect something way more shady than the pix actually show. On my opinion anyways
I like your coverage of this with neutral eyes and view point. You do not have what has been put out in public or background just like the jury has to do to make a decision on Karen guilt or innocence.

Hi Peter and all, thanks for the excellent coverage this is a fascinating one 🤔 I really came into this with no opinion other than listening to the facts (I live in a different country) And as the story unfolds I find it very hard to understand the murder charge. Why did the commonwealth go for this? How can they possibly prove intent?? To me, it's slipping away with every cross - there's such huge doubt.. Even this witness, who was their most credible so far, dropped the ball in the end with her weird answers about Catlin Albert.. This seems such an "over charge" from the state's side, if they win it will only make me believe the conspiracy even more 😅😅😅😅

The female made herself seem like she can’t be honest not even under oath and that she is not credible because she wouldn’t just say yes I didn’t say it in the exact same words every time! She was not cooperative with defense either and wanted to push back even though she was wrong! This makes her feel deceitful and dishonest!
Jury must be saying “ just show us the dam pictures!!”
One more observation, again as someone who is completely open minded on this case, why does it seem like the judge is arguing the case for the prosecution?? She intervenes with testimony, she jumps in with the breaks on before the commonwealth even raises an objection, she seems much more inclined to agree with prosecution objections, and her sighs and belittling remarks towards the defense, it's annoying at the very least! I've watched many US trials by now and never had that feeling before 🤷🏽♀️ if I were a juror I would be shocked by her behavior.. She's either bias or a very conceited. I have no problem with harsh judges, usually they seem more fair! But she just comes off as disrespectful and disingenuous and that gives me the ick!

I'm not, there was no foundation. Defense didn't even ask if they came from her account which makes me think they didn't. Nor did they find a way to connect those pictures to this case aside from two witnesses being in them. He was able to get some testimony about them in front of the jury which I think was his goal, the fact the jury doesn't get to see them imo was the right call
I’m still in disbelief that this case was NOT thrown out months ago and HELL YEAH her story has changed to fit the narrative. So many of these witnesses have blatantly LIED!! I mean WTF?

Think it worked better for the defence not having them admitted, they still mentioned them and had her confirm the details. Jurors now know they exist and are probably imagining they are worse than they actually were.

Kaitlyn Albert is a great friend of hers. Defense has text messages. I believe they have had vaca trips with Kaitlyn and other Albert’s and Jen McCabe (She is sister of Mrs Albert) who was with Karen at the Albert’s house.

This judge seems to be more involved like a mediator and moves things along
Peter is exactly right. If she hadn’t said “I know someone named Caitlin Albert” this wouldn’t be an issue. And Lally it’s not a matter of her not having a say in reporting to a call, it’s the fact that her story changed; even if in the slightest in this kind of case, is not a good look.
