I thought it was odd as well, you can't tell in the video but he was slamming on the breaks when we landed.. We had engine start issues leaving EWR causing 2 gate returns. I wonder if that has anything to do with it. I know It is common practice amongst many U.S. Carriers not to use reverse when possible but UA usually does use reverse thrust. I went right back to EWR on this aircraft and we didn't use reverse thrust landing in EWR either. My guess is the reversers were made INOP related to the engine issues leaving EWR.
