Since I feel like it fits here, I'm just going to share what the overall community consensus over on reddit is. We did a ranking of all songs in AA, and the top pursuit themes were 1. The great Turnabout (GAA) (1st overall) 2. Lying coldly (AAI) (2nd overall) 3. Wanting to find the truth (AAI2) (5th overall) 4. Overtaken (AJ) (9th overall) 5. Spellbreaker (PL VS PWAA) (12th overall) In general the pursuit themes were ranked as some of the best (as they should) If you see this, what are your thoughts on it?
I've never played the great Ace Attorney games, so to see people prefer it over the other pursuit themes kind of shocks me, lol. Then again, I know a LOT of people like TGAA, so I understand in a way. The aai pursuit themes are bops as always. Overtaken is great Spell breaker kind of catches me off guard. I've heard people say that it's better by itself, but not in a court setting. It's surprising, essentially.
Questioned is definitely my favorite Pursuit theme. It’s chaotic, desperate, and perfectly fits the nature of the game, especially the last case. It also fits most the breakdowns. My least favorites are definitely A Great Turnabout and Spell-Breaker. They’re fantastic to listen to on their own, but as a Pursuit theme, it’s too slow, lack any hype whatsoever, and would fit better as an Objection theme.
I don't find SoJ to be bad per say, but out of all the Ace Attorney games...it's the least fun I had so far. I might be willing to give it another go though. I can see why people like it and all.
a lot of things could be better imo. but still definitely one of the best. to me after Investigations 2 and TGAA2, this one fights for second place with Trials and Tribulations. T&T is more perfectly executed and is a great conclusion to the Trilogy cast. But SoJ has pretty solid cases, fun mechanics, cool new characters, and is a grat conclusion for Apollo. so while T&T is more perfect, SoJ is kinda more enjoyable imo.
OBJECTION! You (probably) forgot to add one of my favorite pursuit themes and not only did you forget that one ,time for a great turn about, you forgot the prof. Layton remix, but casting magic as well!
Cornered is a Absolute Classic, is almost a freaking super hero theme Question is to similar to the suspense theme to me Caught is great Overtaken is very dinamic (ps: am I the only one who finds it similar to cornered?) It would be nice to actually see the tier list. Anyway, I tend to agree more with Wright than Edgeworth here. Also, I think the first pursuit theme, "Cornered", is still the best in the whole series.
I was really skeptical about GAA after i finished the orginal trillogy. I thought it wouldn't be as good as the trillogy. I was so heckin wrong, i might actualy like GAA more.
@@razorrat11 Oof. It's a good game, but trying to get a copy of PLVPWAA now could break the bank. From what I've seen, they can run from $80 to over $200 depending on the condition of the cartridge, if it's still in the box or not or if it's still sealed.
Honestly, the one song I don't enjoy as much (aside from SoJ) in terms of Pursuit is the Apollo Justice theme. As far as I remember, they use it way too much, and even in the wrong spots. It weakens the overall feel the song gives to me, unfortunately.
I think that's actually the opposite. Truth 2007 is used WAY to much, so much so that people say it's just Pursuit 2007 lmao. The actual pursuit themes is only used like, 3-4 times throughout the entire game lol.
