女木島(めぎじま)は、香川県高松の北（約 4 km）瀬戸内海に浮かぶ、南北約4km、東西約1kmの細長い島です🏝
女木島には、南に標高216mのタカト山、中央に標高153mのズッコウ山、北に標高187mの鷲ヶ峰(わしがみね)の3つの山があります⛰⛰⛰
ズッコウ山は日蓮山とも呼ばれ、頂上には 1937 年(昭和12年)重機など無い時代に人力で島民が設置した日蓮聖人像が安置されています✨
太平洋戦争時、金属供出号令の元、当時大阪にあったこの銅像もその対象となりましたが「大聖人を溶かすのは畏れ多い」と隠されてここへ辿り着いたとのことです🚢
女木島の島民の方々のほとんどは浄土真宗だそうですが、宗派関係無く今でも参道の草刈り、清掃など大切にされているとの事で、わたしはとても心を打たれました🥷🙏
