It's a shame there's so many young girls out there who watch youtube videos and end up going to school with contouring and too much concealer. This is exactly what young girls should wear. Beautiful!
this is a great look for any age. seriously, if you're older, this look will help you look younger as i think a lot of makeup makes anyone look older. i can't believe how many youtubers i've seen who say they are in their early 20s but look like they are in their late 30s because of the large amount of makeup they wear. sophie is adorable and so lucky to get made up by miss lisa!
I love how Lisa always uses makeup to enhance someone's natural features instead of caking it on and contouring until you have a totally different face! nothing wrong with it, I just love how she uses makeup in a purposeful way :))
The perfect look for teens and makeup newbies who want an easy, pretty look using high street/ drugstore products. Great for High school or College! #makeup #lisaeldridge #beauty #teens #highschool
I would just like to thank you for all your wonderful tutorials. I discovered your channel in August last year, when my wedding was looming and I couldn't afford to book someone to do my makeup. For a lass that had never used eyelash curlers and didn't know what BB stood for, this was awful. After watching literally all of your tutorials, I felt empowered! I wore a vintage style dress with dark, red rose lips and fresh looking skin. I can't believe how the photos turned out, I felt beautiful and received many compliments. I'll be forever grateful to you for sharing your expertise and transforming an ugly duckling into a swan! From Mrs J Dunford x
honestly your tutorials are probably the only ones that I actually try to absorb information from because the outcomes are just so flawless yet natural. A lot of beauty gurus I find like to show heavy contouring and all that but your tutorials look a lot more simple and always end up looking better :) love your videos! they're so informative, straight to the point and incredibly helpful! thank you!
As a mom: Big thanks to Lisa! At that age most girls need coverage from the sun anyways so a bit of BB cream and powder looks awesome! This is perfect for a girl that's 16 or 22! Polished and pretty. And very age appropriate.
My cousin is her age and I bought her first make up starter kit! She doesn't care about anything else that much but mascara is definitely something she wears every day :D If applied lightly it makes so much difference to the whole look and yet it doesn't look like "make up"
I watched this video when I was 15 , still in high school. I ended up doing my makeup this way all throughout college, from 17 to 21! My skin thanked me for it.
Once again, you've done it, Lisa! I've been looking for a high school makeup look forever, and all I've been able to find are the same old, teenager approved looks that I'm just not drawn to! Aka concealer 4 shades lighter under the eyes, huge contouring, and super thick lashes... Don't get me wrong, some people can pull that off and look beautiful, but I'm just not one of them! This look is, simply put, just pretty! It doesn't look over done or prominent, but gives that natural beauty feel I've been looking for! This is the first and only video I've found that is this perfect, and I expect nothing less from you! Thanks so much!
i always wore a medium to full coverage foundation and have given it up and went with the BB cream used in this video and its amazing I don't have problem skin my skin is also normal/dry but I have saw a huge improvement in my skin from using just a bb cream rather than foundation. Great video Lisa. x
If i were her, i wouldn't wear any make up at all. Her skin was really fresh and pretty. At most i wuld have curled my lashes and used the balm on the lips for moisture. But,nowadays little girla like to use really heavy makeup, and i think this is a really pretty alternative for them. It's fresh and light and pretty.
You should see my 2 and a half years old niece doing her make up whenever she comes to my place... She saw me once doing my makeup, and since then, when she comes to visit, she starts grabing my brushes and eyeshadows, and she knows where to use them! AND she uses both hands to apply eyeshadow! Amazing little girl. We love watching your videos together. You have a very young fan here! xx
She looks darling! You are a wizard using any tools, brushes, fingers, sponges...I still remember that stick you used to apply kohl liner and how perfectly you did it. Such graceful techniques as usual. Thank you for teaching us artful beautiful feminine makeup. We love you!
I love that you kept this make-up so simpel, because I find that a lot of people that do school tutorials actually use a lot of make-up when I think a lot of girls barely wear any make-up. It just shows that you really do your research!
So subtle, pretty and appropriate for school :) The eyebrows are perfect too - nothing artificial like the pencils some girls use to create unrealistic shapes these days
Lovely Sophie! She looks the same girl but flawless ! Still fresh and natural, which is the most important thing considering her age! I think a l'or of teenagers out there should watch this video:-)
I'm really glad that you've made this video, Lisa. It's important to encourage young girls to view makeup as something fun and beautifying rather than a necessity to make ourselves palatable to others (your videos always promote the former). I became interested in makeup just after I started secondary school and had no clue what I was doing so I made a lot of mistakes (sparkly eyeliner in massive Winehouse flicks, too dark foundation, too thick foundation etc etc). I've since learned so much from you, so I nearly envy the younger girls who can implement your advice from early on! xxx
This is a perfect makeup tutorial Lisa, very well done! It's light and natural, it's just enhancing the key features. The perfect natural look for any girl, especially girls in school who don't have a lot of time in the morning and just want to look fresh.
That was lovely. She doesn't look like she aged 10 years, she just looks like herself with a bit of polish. Fresh and pretty. And most importantly, youthful.
I wish this tutorial was available when I was in high school. So natural and fresh! I used to pull all nighters and just go to school w/out any makeup. Dark circles, puffy eye bags... I didn't start using makeup until after college. Thanks for sharing!
Yes people, wear as much or as little make up as you want. It's totally up to you. No one here is trying to dictate anyone on what they should or shouldn't do with their face. If your school allows dramatic make up then by all means go ahead and do that if you want to. But if it's not, or you are a beginner teen who just start experimenting with makeup and doesn't feel confident in using fuller make up, this will be a great guidance for you.
love the bit in the beginning where you talk about less is more. I have an 11 year old daughter who is advanced in school and has girls 2 and e years older than her in her class. my husband and I agrees that she can start wearing LIGHT amount of makeup in High school. I am subscribing to your channel because I think you give great, positive tips for girls of all ages. keep it classy! your model looks so pretty!!
I actually used this to teach my little sister the basics of makeup. She was really excited to finally be allowed to wear it, and I wanted to make sure she did it right. This is a perfect beginners video, thank you so much!
this is such a wonderful, simple look that really enhances her natrual beauty, as opposed to covering it up like most teenagers try to do. shes so pretty and her skin is just so flawless. great job lisa :)
Sophie, you did an awesome job as Lisa's model! You looked fresh and pretty with or without makeup. I wish all teen girls would realize this natural look is far more flattering than heavy eyeliner, and caked on foundation! Great job!
Wish I had this tutorial when I was in high school! I was terrible at makeup at that age haha I had acne on my forehead at that time it would've been nice to know how to treat/cover it! Girls are lucky to have the Internet these days they can learn new beauty tricks so much easier!
She's super cute. I love the makeup, it's very appropriate for her age and looks pretty and fresh. I actually may steal this look for myself this summer :p
Thanks lisa for this great tutorial! I'm in college so could really benefit from it~~As I'm surrounded by guys i find the natural looking the the best...
I find this such a gorgeous everyday look! Im in my last year of highschool and i only wear concealer and my brow products but i liked that you used more products just so that people can adjust it to their own preferences :)
I personally love wearing make up. Getting ready is actually my favorite time of the day! It's when I can relax and be creative. I know my limits, but I'm not afraid to add a pop of color every now and then, even when going to school. I think it just depends on the person and their knowledge on makeup.
She looks like she's 13 omg and I really love her skin,I wish mine looked like her. I have an oily skin with a lot of blemishes and every morning I don't really want to put foundation and concealer but I have to because I feel more confidence and now I can't go out without my makeup on.
So lovely. :) She looks young and fresh both before and after. I also think that teens don't really need to wear a lot of make up. However even 12 year old kids can suffer from acne and other skin problems. Make up can help them by making those problems less visible and help a kid feel less self conscious.
This is a terrific makeup tutorial, I'll be showing it to my daughter. She's still very young but I want this in her head as how a beautiful young person looks. Thank you so much for this, and thank you to Sophie too!
i had sooooo much fun trying different makeup looks all throughout school, i don't feel the need to restrict myself and (in the states) we were allowed to wear whatever we wanted
I take away more information and tips from your videos than any other "beauty guru" on RUclips. I adore your videos and they have really helped me progress as a makeup artist! Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful knowledge!
This is a great video. I will be watching it again with my 13 year old that wants to try makeup. I like that you included skincare as well as makeup (never to early to start). This would be a "fancy" day for her but we can simplify this look for everyday.
This is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING (But I have to say that's probably more to do with the model than the make up!) I wish I had watched tutorials like this when I was younger - it would have saved me from many a make up mishap!
Nicely done Lisa, I think is great that you teach the teens on the appropriate make up look for them... Because teens are between pressures of maturing and leaving the child phase. So it's nice to have some sort of guidance on making the transition naturally
no one 'needs' makeup but girls like Sophie (about to be 16) are wearing make-up these days because they enjoy playing with it. Make-up can also be a good confidence booster when you can cover a spot or enhance your eyes with mascara. As long as it removed at the end of the day, it shouldnt be a problem X
I Love the look and how light on this skin it is , but I think she could gone without anything on her skin maybe a sun screen cause her skin is flawless.
Sophie is so lucky to have her first pro make up done by THE Lisa Eldridge!!!! :-)
It's a shame there's so many young girls out there who watch youtube videos and end up going to school with contouring and too much concealer. This is exactly what young girls should wear. Beautiful!
I just wear concealer and mascara
this is a great look for any age. seriously, if you're older, this look will help you look younger as i think a lot of makeup makes anyone look older. i can't believe how many youtubers i've seen who say they are in their early 20s but look like they are in their late 30s because of the large amount of makeup they wear.

What a lovely comment, thanks for taking the time to post it! Im thrilled for you (and you were never an ugly duckinling!!) X
honestly your tutorials are probably the only ones that I actually try to absorb information from because the outcomes are just so flawless yet natural. A lot of beauty gurus I find like to show heavy contouring and all that but your tutorials look a lot more simple and always end up looking better :) love your videos! they're so informative, straight to the point and incredibly helpful! thank you!
I love how natural you kept it. Absolutely beautiful and a beautiful model. ♥ Elle
I can sense you were wary about doing this. Its great that girls who do want to use makeup can learn how to do it tastefully.
Sooo jealous of her lol. When I was 16, my skin was a total mess -- and it still is now. She's beautiful and super lucky.
I look about her age and let me tell you she is super lucky, her skin is bloody flawless!! Mine has horrible acne and I hate it:( lucky gal
Same here :( why put a girl that is already beautiful and then make her even more prettier. It makes the rest of us feel a bit down.
Wolfi Gamer
Gosh her skin was perfect before the BB cream. Oh to be young!
Well, when I was in my teens and 20s I had horrible acne. My skin is MUCH better now!!!! :-)
She has the most flawless skin I've ever seen♥
I only wear a little bit of concealer, mascara and a lip balm to school :)
you have to let your skin breath, especially when you're young.
As a mom: Big thanks to Lisa! At that age most girls need coverage from the sun anyways so a bit of BB cream and powder looks awesome! This is perfect for a girl that's 16 or 22! Polished and pretty. And very age appropriate.
so fresh and pretty! i agree. a little mascara and gloss goes a long way :-)
My cousin is her age and I bought her first make up starter kit!
My skin thanked me for it.
will show this to my little sister, don't want her making the same orange-face-and-black-eyelid mistakes I made at her age.. x
Once again, you've done it, Lisa! I've been looking for a high school makeup look forever, and all I've been able to find are the same old, teenager approved looks that I'm just not drawn to! This is the first and only video I've found that is this perfect, and I expect nothing less from you! Thanks so much!
Sophie is so beautiful, she could easily become a model if she wanted to, even later in life!
i always wore a medium to full coverage foundation and have given it up and went with the BB cream used in this video and its amazing I don't have problem skin my skin is also normal/dry but I have saw a huge improvement in my skin from using just a bb cream rather than foundation. Great video Lisa. x
Lisa, you're a Goddess of Makeup. And you have the most pleasant voice i've ever heard.
She is the cutest 16 year old ever! So fresh, innocent and sweet :) I wish I was more like her :)
You should see my 2 and a half years old niece doing her make up whenever she comes to my place... Sophie is really beautiful. You make her totally shine!
She looks darling! You are a wizard using any tools, brushes, fingers, sponges...I still remember that stick you used to apply kohl liner and how perfectly you did it. Such graceful techniques as usual. Thank you for teaching us artful beautiful feminine makeup. We love you!

this is such a lovely look :). Sophie has beautiful skin with or without makeup. If I had her skin I would never wear makeup.
Her face is so flawless :o
Is she a model?
She is absolutely adorable! Beautiful before and after :-).
Stunning.
I wouldn't just say for teens. I would say for anyone. Or even a fresh every day no makeup makeup look beautiful
She doesn't have any dark circles under her eyes. What kind of wizardry?
i know right!!!!
I agree there was most likely some sorcery behind this
So subtle, pretty and appropriate for school :) The eyebrows are perfect too - nothing artificial like the pencils some girls use to create unrealistic shapes these days
Can you please do a makeup tutorial for university students? :)
Sophie's voice is so sweet and Lisa's voice is so soothing. Of course I loved the tutorial but I just love hearing their voices!
Sophie is so beautiful!
I think it's the right amount of make up for her age.
Lovely Sophie! She looks the same girl but flawless ! Still fresh and natural, which is the most important thing considering her age! I think a l'or of teenagers out there should watch this video:-)
Well said :)

So pretty girl... And nice makeup. Pleasant video.
And most importantly, youthful.
she is pretty! and makeup just light up her natural beauty! Love it!
How cute was Sophie! A lovely natural look, I hope teens listen to your advice!
Sophie is pretty with and without makeup. I also love her voice. Wish my voice was gentle.
Her skin is amazing, so gorgeous! I'm jealous, I wish I had beautiful skin like this.
I wish this tutorial was available when I was in high school. So natural and fresh! I used to pull all nighters and just go to school w/out any makeup. Dark circles, puffy eye bags... I didn't start using makeup until after college. Thanks for sharing!

wow, her skin is amazing!!
this is such a wonderful, simple look that really enhances her natrual beauty, as opposed to covering it up like most teenagers try to do. shes so pretty and her skin is just so flawless. great job lisa :)
Oh my gosh is she adorable. A mini-Lisa! I'm way past my teenage years but think I may try this routine tomorrow.
Sophie, you did an awesome job as Lisa's model! You looked fresh and pretty with or without makeup. I wish all teen girls would realize this natural look is far more flattering than heavy eyeliner, and caked on foundation! Great job!
She is the luckiest teenager ever! She has such nice skin! X
Love how you used drugstore products, affordable and so doable for those whom this video is intended for :)
I still can't get over that I served you at WH smith and you said you liked my lipstick ❤️ Seriously admire you and your work so much
Wish I had this tutorial when I was in high school! I was terrible at makeup at that age haha I had acne on my forehead at that time it would've been nice to know how to treat/cover it! Girls are lucky to have the Internet these days they can learn new beauty tricks so much easier!
Omggg!!! I am sooooo in love with this look. Simple but stunning. I am doing this for school today. Love you so much Lisa
Her skin is lovely! I wish my skin had looked so good when I was 16!
Lovely! Sophie was so sweet. I'm 21 and would definitely wear this makeup on an everyday basis :) thanks Lisa x
I'm 20 and I would wear it myself. I think it's really beautiful look.
whoahhh she's so gorgeous.
Gorgeous! She's so pretty X
So happy you did this Lisa! Fresh faced is always the way to go for younger women.
Half the girls I go to school with wear a full on smoky eye every day. This is completely appropriate.
She is such a beauty!
She looks like she's 13 omg and I really love her skin,I wish mine looked like her.
I have an oily skin with a lot of blemishes and every morning I don't really want to put foundation and concealer but I have to because I feel more confidence and now I can't go out without my makeup on.
I have that Revlon quad, that brownish red shade is the most amazing colour, looks so amazing !
Wow, Sophie is stunning!
People are only giving negative comments as the girl looks about 12, as I thought.
So for a 16 year old, this is an EXTREMELY natural look
I just love your makeup technique. You definitely try to enhance beauty with the minimum amount of makeup. I love that!
So lovely. :) She looks young and fresh both before and after.
I also think that teens don't really need to wear a lot of make up. However even 12 year old kids can suffer from acne and other skin problems. Make up can help them by making those problems less visible and help a kid feel less self conscious.
i love you Lisa, you give amazing advice to younger girls and that is less is more and to stay natural. it is so refreshing! xx
This is a terrific makeup tutorial, I'll be showing it to my daughter. She's still very young but I want this in her head as how a beautiful young person looks. Thank you so much for this, and thank you to Sophie too!
Oh wow she looks so lovely with this makeup on! So fresh, and beautiful- though she naturally is.
i had sooooo much fun trying different makeup looks all throughout school, i don't feel the need to restrict myself and (in the states) we were allowed to wear whatever we wanted
I take away more information and tips from your videos than any other "beauty guru" on RUclips. I adore your videos and they have really helped me progress as a makeup artist! Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful knowledge!

Lisa, you are so unbelievably gifted! I'm a huge fan! Everything you do is perfection!
Nicely done Lisa, I think is great that you teach the teens on the appropriate make up look for them... Because teens are between pressures of maturing and leaving the child phase. So it's nice to have some sort of guidance on making the transition naturally
She's actually really pretty without any makeup on !
Oh! She has gorgeous skin. Very beautiful make up, you are great!
she's so beautiful she doesn't really need makeup
no one 'needs' makeup but girls like Sophie (about to be 16) are wearing make-up these days because they enjoy playing with it. Make-up can also be a good confidence booster when you can cover a spot or enhance your eyes with mascara. As long as it removed at the end of the day, it shouldnt be a problem X
So sweet and utterly age appropriate. Well done Lisa, as always!
The model is so lovely! The make up looks so fresh and pretty, you are so talented Lisa. I love watching your videos.
This makes me want to try out makeup, I’m 17 and have been unsure about it and thought this was very simple and nice. I think I might try it out!
Korres lip butters are amazing
Your model is adorable!!!!!
I love how you just enhanced her natural features :) perfect for school!
I Love the look and how light on this skin it is , but I think she could gone without anything on her skin maybe a sun screen cause her skin is flawless.
I LOVE those Korres Lip Butters! I always have one in my purse... This is really beautiful, very fresh indeed!
Finally! A video that actually does neutral makeup look for school. Others just go over board and don't even show what we are asking for.
