    Marine Corps does their work with equipment that others don't want and with the smallest numbers of Marines than any other service, other than Coast Guard. When I was in the Marines, they taught us how to work with equipment from WWII, and make it work. We even used the M14, post Korean War weapon. The first M16 i saw, other than movies, was when they issued me one in Vietnam. I still love the M14.

    If he's talking Staff noncommissioned officers or noncommissioned officers, I would agree. Even in the legal MOS, where officer to enlisted interaction is 90 percent of the time, the officers are unengaged.

    🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
    🍽️ Marines prioritize others over themselves during mealtime, demonstrating their leadership philosophy.
    📜 Leadership, for Marines, is a responsibility, not just a rank.
    🌟 Marines exemplify servant leadership by putting the welfare of their team before their own.
    💡 Rank doesn't dictate leadership in the Marines; it's about caring for those under your command.
    🌍 The Marine Corps culture is built on the principle of looking after each other.
    🏅 Marines exhibit humility by allowing the most junior members to eat first and the most senior to eat last.
    🚀 Leadership is about serving and empowering others, not about authority or control.
    📚 The Marines' leadership approach teaches valuable lessons applicable beyond the military context.

  • @gikaradi8793
    @gikaradi8793 7 лет назад

    It was in the desert .The King Alexanders (the UltraGREAT one here) army was dried out of thirst.So the King Himself.Somebody found a few sips of water and brought it to the King.He spilled it over saying that if not every other soldier can have water so he wont have any too.He slept with his soldiers and ate the same stuff with them .And at battle he jumped into ALWAYS first.He was also the first he made a kind of insurance for his soldiers.HE WAS MORE THAN GREAT

    Then SEALs get the real shit done

    • @SuperWagner23
      @SuperWagner23 7 лет назад

      Special Snowflake yes SEALs do great things but they do very poorly when they do not have the element of surprise or cover of darkness because they rarely operate in larger groups and in conventional warfare. SEALs typically operate in 4 to 6 man teams and they by enlarge are one trick ponys as they get in and get out. Marines on the other hand specialize in asymmetric and maneuver warfare along with fulfilling a conventional line company structure. Comparing the two are like comparing Apple's to oranges.
      If you want to talk about group that gets sit done it is Army Rangers. THEIR structure and training allows them to conduct major operations. They actually conducted more raids in Iraq and Afghanistan then the seals did. They premenium door kickers meaning they excels at breaching structures

    • @dylant8056
      @dylant8056 7 лет назад

      david wagner fair point, however, SEALs specialize in air, sea, and land, being highly trained in all three elements, unlike rangers or marines. SEALs operate for only the most important and crucial missions. And by the way, the selection process to become a SEAL is far more difficult than any other branch in the military.

    Marines are tough people but eating last doesn't make any sense but tradition is tradition so its all for good

    • @TheYipYee
      @TheYipYee 7 лет назад +1

      It's more than just tradition. The lower ranks do the most physical labor; they need the calories more. And it's the leader's job to make sure his or her people are taken care of, so if there's not enough food it should be them that goes hungry.
      If you don't believe me about how important this tradition is, spend 14 days in the field working your ass off and eating field stripped MREs...then watch your leadership cut in front of you to eat the first hot chow you've seen in 2 weeks, even though they've been sitting in a nice dry TOC the whole time. It shows a lack of concern, respect and appreciation on the part of the leadership. It breeds resentment and breaks down the trust and respect that the military relies on.
