- Documentary about Adrian Borland and The Sound.
The tragedy of Adrian’s battle with himself and his disease balanced with his joy and love of life and his creativity. It’s irrelevant whether you know of Adrian or The Sound or not. This is the universal story of the razor’s edge that so many artists walk between heaven and hell.
I just found out about this band recently on a Spotify playlist. I’m a huge post punk music fan, and I cannot believe I have not heard of The Sound before
Very sad to learn that they never achieved the fame they descended, and that their main songwriter suffered so greatly.
Rest In Peace, and thank you for the music.
I need this rip Adrian he was a true genius so talented
Just watched this great documentary at its premiere at the IDFA at Melkweg Amsterdam. Adrian's father, friends and band members tell his heartbreaking life story in this must watch movie. All the clips, live performances and pictures of Adrian in this movie are great. The most important role is played by Adrian's work, his music and his extraordinary lyrics. After this movie the crowd was very silent before the big applause that followed.
Over twenty years now, and still one of the most important bands of my music culture
RIP Adrian
Loads of love from Greece
Perfect music! Beautifully composed by a genius! So sad that he is gone....
We miss U Adrian.
A Great talent - will always love your music. RIP Adrian.
I'm very excited to see this. It's where the love is. Adrian is a beautiful spirit and the spirit transcends any physical problems in the end.

Where can I order a copy of this ?
Adrian was a personal friend when I was a kid and I used to tour around with the sound when they did Europe.
Bono and U2 stole every idea they ever had from this man.

@@gianomario , yes. I watched it and it was excellent. Thank you!
After waiting years for the documentary to get released and being a fan for so long and feeling so close to the lyrics, the music and the sound of the sound I have to say it was merely disappointing to me. I expected something else I guess…
Though I am greatful this band receives some attention, I wished it to be more a detailed documentation on how the records were made and what was going on at the time regarding the members.
So for anyone that is expecting a musical insight on the bands life and the discography, I can say it focuses mostly on Adrian’s disorder. Which is also interesting. But when it comes to music documentaries I care mostly about the process and the appreciation of the individual albums and the music. I think it’s sad that certain records weren’t mentioned because they are so good and have guided me through so many difficult times.
Still you have to respect all the effort that was put into this project and the people behind it.
Where i can BUY/stream/download the dvd?
