I am working with my Boss and do carry out this test on 300kva 3 phase Transformer, pls how do i know the values we are looking for if the test is good or bad ?
Thumb rule : 600 mohms minimum with 1000V DC injected on LV side and 5 KV DC injected on HV side, oil filled. Please note that there are ratios like PI index and DAR index. Also IR value has to be compared with previous values. It's not a single shot work. If it's new, you have to compare the commissioning reading value with that of the manufacturers test report. If the transformer is already in service compare the present value with its log book. Holds good for reconditioned item also. Hope this helps. There is no exact number value.
Please when you were doing the IR for the domestic installation or wiring. You injected 500V under 10 seconds, but when do it for the motor what was the duration of the test time. Also from the tester, UT501A it has four terminals or port; LIVE, VOLT, G and Earth. Which two of them did you use to test the insulation of your wiring. Can you explain when to use the other contact port on the tester. Thanks
Loved your video and I really like your accent. I was searching like crazy for someone doing this step by step. Thank You so much

Sir, pls how much is the market value of the instrument?
It's around 139USD. But you know the price may differ depending on the country and the particular shop you are getting it from.
