LA Fleet Week® 2024: Important Things to Know Before You Go

This "Know Before You Go" video will answer the most frequently asked questions (FAQs) when it comes to enjoying LA Fleet Week 2024 on the LA Waterfront at the Port of Los Angeles.
LA Fleet Week is a free event honoring our Nation’s Sea Services, where visitors of all ages can enjoy interactions with our service members, military displays and demonstrations, Navy and Coast Guard ship tours, live music, entertainment, and a delicious line-up of food trucks. For the first time since 2013, a US Navy aircraft carrier will visit the Port of Los Angeles, arriving May 21.
Various competitions will take place throughout LA Fleet Wee, including a high-stakes Dodgeball Tournament between competing military branches, a live "Galley Wars: Mission Impossible" culinary competition, and a "Military Has Talent" contest. The festivities will kick off with a Welcome Party in historic downtown San Pedro on Thursday, May 23, and a second Welcome Party in Wilmington at the Banning House Museum on Friday, May 24. The main LA Fleet Week event will get underway starting Friday, May 24, and continue through Monday, May 27.
