WOW...If we didn't know any better someone might think your ACTUALLY TRYING TO HELP truckers to succeed. Well done...it's been a long time coming. The industry has needed real men like you. Hopefully more follow your example and the swamp gets drained sooner than later;) Great job keep it up. We'll definitely support people and companies like you.
For number 13 Depreciation of the truck. My accountant answer was: Straight line method for amortization is being used for accounting purpose, not a percentage. Percentages are only used on T2 returns for determining Capital Cost Allowance (CCA). Your truck is considered a capital leased asset for both accounting and tax purposes, so no CCA to claim on the T2 return, but the entire lease payments are deductible. Please if someone would like to add something to this to make easier to digest in simple words, please feel free to do so. Thanks fellas truckers.
Can company drivers claim cleaning supplies, electronics (gps, dash cam,cb radios) tools for roadside repairs, clothing(work clothes, boots) I thought we could?
WHAT IF I AM COMPANY DRIVER WHO HAS A CORPORATE ACCOUNT????? what do i follow in terms of tax file?? I have filed T2 but i claimed my meals in T2? Was i suppose to claim in T2 or T4? As i learned i am suppose to both T2 and T4 as I am both the employer and employee. Now regarding GST/HST/ If i pay the full GST/HST by myself from CRA for the gross. then when i file my T4 i would be tax again for the salary i paid myself ?
Need help. Im new to trucking.. worked the end of last year 3 months.. where can we get 1099?? I havent recieved anythjng from the mail. Is it like a W2?? I made about $17k last year trucking

Consult with the company you drove for or if you are an Owner Operator, you should have kept track of your income to report.
