    Everyone needs more than their salary to be financial stable. The best thing to do with your money is to invest it rightly, because money left for saving always end up used with no returns.

    That’s valuable information regarding the cost of living in the UK as a care worker. Working and living in the UK can be expensive, and earning just the minimum wage might make it challenging to survive. Many of us aspire to work there as care workers, and this information serves as an eye-opener for those considering such opportunities. Thank you Ali

      I totally agree. It’s now the uk home office is looking at options, as part of ways to cut migration. One way their looking at is increasing the annual salary of carer and limit how many carers that come into the uk. So it will have a price to pay😚. I’m working on a video on that . Whats yhe advance of not driving,can the company car be used and is there a driver to take you around always

    • @fatimataali2794
      @fatimataali2794  7 месяцев назад

      You only use the company car if you’re a driver and hasn’t bought your own car yet.
      For my company people didn’t like using company cars because it was expensive. You pay for any slightest scratch on it, any little damage while you are using it is your responsibility. The company won’t put it on the car insurance as the insurance company will increase the insurance price .
      For my company, you pay for using the car every week + buying your own fuel.
      When I damaged the car and they billed me, I stopped driving it. But that’s is when I was almost getting my own car

    wooow, ur were working with ur company car and during work the had an accident and you have to pay for the car service. Doesn't the company have an insurance to cover up for the company cars? Like seriously this isn't right. Is not like that here in Belgium. I have work with a company car before and incase anything the company fix the car.

    • @fatimataali2794
      @fatimataali2794  7 месяцев назад

      Yes. You will have to take care of any damages. If they put it on the insurance company it will increase the car insurance 🤦‍♀️. I also think regardless the insurance company should be sorting that out. But they don’t do that

      sick pay is one thing I need to talk about. I couldn’t pay all my monthly expenses last month for going sick for about 11 days. I was paid about £40. If you work in private healthcare, you might find other conditions favourable but sick pay is terrifying. You can’t afford to fall sick. I learned NHS has good sick pay

    • @akuaboahene6787
      @akuaboahene6787 7 месяцев назад

      I can tell that company is not a good one you can google statutory sick pay and read it yourself to understand. £40 s3nn

    • @fatimataali2794
      @fatimataali2794  7 месяцев назад +1

      I contended it as I was expecting £103 per week on sick leave but the company explained why they paid £40. Apparently with your first sick leave, the first 3 working days are called waiting days and they’re not paid. So subsequent continuous working days are then paid for. So the weekend + first 3 working days were not paid. This is true on the government website. But yes, I did query it. It’s not just like that with government jobs like NHS

      Those are actually pretty standard expenses, except for the car expense and call minutes that I go extra due to personal reasons.
      I will say you should just get a good care job where you can make enough money. £1900-2000 per month should be enough to cater for the expenses and give you some savings. If you stress to reduce the expenses you might be living really tight which won’t be healthy

    The shopping part nu...😂...comee n tie ur cloth to mins o.
    U r lucky ur company pays mileage. I am paid basic pay and mu company doesn't pay for fuel nor mileage after being forced to buy cars....well it was in the contract I signed to have your own car. But hmmm...like u said ,they send you far like 70miles away meanwhile you'll have to come back home o. You pay for your own fuel....eiii uk...boi3

      Happy to see relatable comments like this. Some Carers don’t even have the luxury to go for new shopping. You will see us in charity shops. It’s well. One thing I learned is that if something is written in contract and doesn’t serve right you can contest it.

      It’s her company that’s not paying well, a lot of companies pay far better and has better benefits. Even the fact that they add mileage pay to the gross to be taxed says a lot about that company. And forcing company car on her to pay £200 a month chai.

      £10.13 per hour is within average for domiciliary care workers except Support workers that take a bit higher. Does your company pay higher? Which city is it?

      It’s not about the car but how much emission the car causes to the environment and or the engine size. Eg. If you drive electric car no tax, no congestion charge in the large cities and no emission zone charge plus low insurance.
