First up, is gamification. Kajabi has points, but they're mostly symbolic. Skool makes those points matter because they unlock levels and content. This leads to increased engagement and motivation as students compete to climb the ranks.
Community feeds are next. Kajabi mimics LinkedIn's clutter, while Skool opts for cleaner, clickable cards. This results in an easier, more intuitive way to navigate and participate in discussions.
Let's talk chat features. Kajabi feels like chatting in a conference hall; Skool is like a cozy coffee shop convo. The benefit is quicker, more frequent interactions with your community, breaking the ice made simple.
Now, courses, and how they integrate with the community. Kajabi offers great custom features but isolates courses from the community. Skool marries the two for a unified experience they call "Classroom." This leads to a social, collaborative learning environment.
Onto events and reminders. Kajabi goes all-in with multiple emails; Skool keeps it low-key with just one the day before. Choose what suits your audience: a gentle nudge from Skool or the can't-miss-it approach from Kajabi.
Challenges vs. Action Posts. Kajabi lets you create standalone challenges; Skool integrates them into the community feed via Action Posts. It's a new approach to breathing life into an otherwise lonely course experience.
Lastly, user interfaces, or UI. Kajabi's got the Apple look, spacious and clean; Skool leans towards Amazon's more compact layout. At the end of the day, it's your choice of either a minimalistic or data-rich user experience. I believe the latter leads to higher engagement.
So, that's a head-to-head comparison of Kajabi and Skool - two of the most interesting online course platforms of 2023. Hope you enjoyed this combined Skool review and Kajabi review.

With expert customization, you can do pretty much ANYTHING with Kajabi.
And the question is.. is that a good thing..? 😅
Bro! Love the point of view of "making learning fun again". Great job with this. Also love the vibe you shared here just sharing your opinion and experience.
Nice! Thank you for posting this video! Going to look more into this!
Yea, please do - it’s super interesting what’s happening in this space.
I was in Rueds Skool Test-Community. Great experience and I really like the system with unlock new content by being aktiv 👍 At first I thought wtf why you only can lead up by generating likes, but then I realized that this was the key to create good/better posts and questions. And that again let you better learn and deeper thinking about the stuff. Beside it was fun and interesting to get with some other people from over the whole world in contact or just think about what they say. By time I will try it with my content and community as well. Thank you Rued 😊
Thanks for participating - loved watching your video content 👌🏻
@@RuedRiisCom did you shut your test community down? I can't find you on Skool anymore..
Thx. I went and had a look at Skool. It seems they allow Cancel anytime, which is nice if I just want to test for a few months.
You get a 14 day trial and then it’s 99 USD per month. And yes you can cancel anytime you want and close your group 🤗
Thank you for this.
This is sooo helpful thank you!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Great video
Skool lacks background video play (can't play videos with phone screen off)
Does Kajabi allow this?
Will Skool get this feature? It's very important
Whats the 3rd best platform?
Hi! I’m a student on both platforms and just tested this out on the apps with my iPhone…and they both play outside of the app and with the phone locked.
Awesome video.
Great video :)
Thanks, fellow Skool’er 😊
You started a test community but it's now gone.. are you still on the Skool platform? Or did you stay with Kajabi?
Still on Kajabi. Love Skool though. I started a paid community on Skool, but it’s closed now due to my limitations on what I can do with limited time.
@@RuedRiisCom so i guess i understand well : you started on Skool and Kajabi, but stopped Skool. So as i'm fully on this choice, my conclusion is : i will start skool, and when it grows i'll move to Circle, Kajabi, ...or something else.
Do you confirm?
There is an advantage to online communities: anonymity.
Does skool have email automation?
Nope not yet.
Am I the only one wondering where to buy that hat?
It’s custom made 😂 I can order one for you!
Kajabi’s community was utterly counterintuitive and clumsy IMO.
Yes, it’s not best in class, for sure. Maybe that’s just part of being an all in one platform - that you’re not really excelling at the individual bits.
@@RuedRiisCom if the Kajabi product managers & developers had any common sense, they could easily have built a great community feature, not to mention FIXING some of the other super common and obvious flaws their other features have.
They just spend too much time on features that don’t make sense instead of adding good features and fixing obvious problems that have plagued Kajabi for years.
@@allthecommonsense true. It’s the AI craze that rages.
@@allthecommonsense What you describe here is why I left Kajabi (after 6 years) and now joined Skool.
