Once again, I visit my favorite spot in Jamaica: 153rd Street between Archer and Jamaica Avenues. Things are not all that different, except:
1. All of Queens Village's OGs are now retired, with #6854 being the last one to run on July 12th. This also ends the era for all of NYCTA/MaBSTOA, as the Manhattan units retired this February.
2. 2022 Novabus LFS's are now a common species, especially here, as all 3 Depots worth of Cones make an appearance again.
3. 2022 New Flyer XD40 Xcelsior #7859 makes an appearance, not once but twice, on the Q54. It looks like an XDE40, minus the HybridBus logos.
4. MTA Bus Company, formed from 7 former Private Companies, is now the only depot to have the OGs. JFK/Far Rockaway still carries the banner at just over 100, with Baisley Park 2nd at 43. LaGuardia's units are retiring fast, as they've been receiving more and more hand-me-down NGs.
