I feel like the nhl has had almost a decade long run of amazing Cinderella playoff runs that fall short in the final. 14 rangers, 15 lightning, 16 sharks, 17 preds, 18 Vegas, 20 Dallas, 21 Montreal, and now 23 florida. The blues in 2019 feel like the exception cause I would say they were the more unexpected run and last year was great because both tampa and Colorado were powerhouses

As a Leaf fan, it was painful to say the least seeing how our season ended right in front of my eyes. I gotta hand it to Florida though, made the adjustments against Boston, embarrassed Toronto, and staved off the Hurricane in 4 straight games, only to run into a VGK a team that just wouldn’t be stopped this year.

never ever ever never touch ANY trophy before you have the Stanley Cup waiting for you. the Golden Knights avoided theirs like the plague. It's the right thing to do.
We would have had a much better chance for sure I think our win showed we still had it to take Vegas to task. But Vegas really fucking showed up in games 4 and 5. It would have been a fucking battle and a half to really cut them down and I think in the end they were still better than us. But I wish we weren't suffering so much from injuries to see what we could have done.
Even if they were fully healthy, I’m not sure they beat VGK they way VGK was playing. It is possible that if Florida was fully healthy they get an extra goal late in game 4 to force OT and win it in OT, then all of a sudden it’s a different series.
Florida’s Cup run was a waste of our time They were so awful in the SCF it’s like they were never there at all. Florida would have been better off losing to Boston in 5.

Josh Anderson’s game 4 OT winner felt very similar to Carter Verheaghe’s game 3 OT winner.
