Abandoning late in a launch when it starts to go bad was a hard lesson for me to learn. Around flight 45, I launched into the side of a small hill (thinking I could turn in time) and damaged my ankle - taking over a year to heal fully. Now I take pride in abandoning such a launch that I "might" have recovered. Also, I I always keep a spare prop in my car. Anyway, good self analysis and thanks for sharing.
Sorry to hear about the accident. Those are always tough lessons. Me and the friend I fly with (both started the same time) have had knee injuries, so I'm extra careful when dropping to the ground, whether it be deliberate (landing) or unintentional, like in the video. I've always thought about keeping an extra prop with me in case of break, however at this point I believe it is in my best interest to take some time to think it over what I did wrong before doing a quick repair and attempting another flight. Cheers
Hey Happy New Year Been looking into a trip to the UK. Regarding the weather there, would it be worth it to visit in March? or is it still cold and rainy Cheers
Fantastic video-great of you to share your mistakes; it happens to all of us! Here’s to more adventures in 2025. I’ve just started my own paramotoring channel and would love for you to check it out. I’ve subscribed and can’t wait to see more of your flights. Keep your chin up!
