It’s so obvious how much that man loved his beloved dog that passed away. Our pets are so precious to us. It just blows my mind how people can be cruel to animals. They bring us so much joy and fill our hearts with love.

My dog passed 6 years ago and I still havnt gotten another. He was simply the most amazing best friend you could have and he took a piece of my heart with him.
It took me 10 years to get another. They’re family. You can’t replace one with another, you kind of have to start over.

I used to feel like you. But in time I realized the best way to honour my 2 pups, was to adopt/rescue strays and give them a home. I have 16 rescue dogs now. Never felt better about my life.

That last one though. Seems like all the grief still inside him from his loss came flowing out in that moment. 😭 To lose a precious pet is devastating. Real true grief. May they start anew with a new love, as we recently did. ❤️
The one thing that bothers me with that video is how they were like "hope you're not mad cuz it wasn't cheap." And "yeah im not getting a wedding dress". Wtf is the point of saying shit like that? To make them feel bad or indebted to you for a gift you got them? I give the gift back if people pull that on me. To me that's trashy.

That is not a nice thing to say. Maybe Dad’s income is the only income coming into the house and puppies during the virus have tripled in price so his wife was concerned she’d spent so much money on the puppy when they could not afford it!!!!!

You don't get a gift for someone then burden them with the knowledge that the gift actually put someone out and now they can't get stuff they need. That is messed up. You do not do that shit to people.

As far as I can tell, they played it off like they went to get her wedding dress, but they actually had the intention of getting the puppy. They were also probably hoping that he wouldn't be mad about it because it was fairly expensive- dads tend to get that way with that kind of thing sometimes. I'm sure he appreciated the pup very much.

Having lost many pets in my long life, I understand the fear and the longing for a new love. Blessings to each person who gives and those that receive these blessings in the form of our furry loves.
That one lady who said she’s not really a dog person, will likely find herself falling in love with that pooch before she knows it.

I love watching the reactions of older adults, because it goes to show you no matter how old you are If you are a true dog lover your emotions will come out just like a young child if not more.
I’ve lost 2 labs previously a 14yo,13yo and now I have a 4 yo lab mix. It’s funny how a dog causes a grown man to get so emotional.

I got teary..two years ago dad started losing his memory..I adopted his great pyenise.. I didn't think I could handle him because I had already fostered two small ones and one medium..I swear he has become my best friend..The shelter knows him and when he escapes, they take him for a ride and babysit him..Everybody loves him ...Dad goes to see him..but now he claims the dog is my mom's and has forgotten about him..but I still make an effort to take him to see him..❤

Getting another dog for someone who lost theirs is one of the sweetest things, because people who've lost their dog usually feel guilty about moving on and delay and delay giving another dog a home. Of course there should be a little time to wait and process the loss, but a lot of people might never feel ready unless someone else steps in. Although, I do think buying a puppy is a bad thing to do and supports a terrible business when there are millions of dogs out there already needing a home.
I agree with you, but what do you mean supporting a terrible business? Not all puppies comes from a “puppy production factories”. You know those kinds of bad factories. There’s actually real professional dog breeders out there too!
@@ellaengqvist7808 It's not just puppy mills, but the ubiquitous backyard/home breeder. Sux million dogs and cats are killed each year in the US alone because they wind up in shelters. I have been fortunate to have a lifetime of shelter and rescue mutts and a few purebred rescue dogs in my life, and I couldn't ask for better dogs. I choose to adopt, not shop. If someone is set on buying from a breeder, it takes time and research to find a truly reputable one.
@@SheilaR.08 Exuse me but I don’t live in the US, whose apparently a horrible place for dogs to be. My dogs breeder is very nice and she’s not one of those bad ones. Me and my family have met her and her dogs multiple times. But either way, thank you for the information

It takes a special person to rehome and retrain an adult dog. Adult dogs often end back on the street because they're more work than people realize. There's nothing wrong with getting someone a puppy, especially if they aren't already animal people who've housed a few of their own. A puppy is also a safer option for families with children.
Buying from a certified responsible breeder is not continuing a BAD BUSINESS. Some people want specific breeds and most dogs at a shelter are MIXED BREEDS also the pasts of shelter animals is not always known; therefore, bringing a shelter animal home if you already have animals or young children is not always a good move. My friend adopted a cat in Sept 2022 and it's been 4 months the damn cat is living under the couch in the living room and only comes out at night to eat or use the litter box. All the shelter knows is it was on the street wandering around by itself, I think this is a street cat with no desire to be a house cat or around people. Just a warning shelters are not all they are cracked up to be..

My first fur baby, Griffin, died in 1989. He was 12. A gorgeous orange tabby cat. I still cry about his passing.

The love of Dog is so POWERFUL. Some people don't understand the tears.. at a time in my life I didn't.. But whew!!! My Josie puppy saved my life... I'm eternally grateful. I love these. God bless them all!!!

My older brother served two tours of duty in The Vietnam Conflict,in one of the areas he served he found a German Shepard Puppy,he was planning on bringing it stateside when he returned home ,but it was killed ,he raised German Shepherds when he was a teenager,so the vet getting the German Shepard puppy was particularly poignant for me ,my brother died from lung cancer 11 years ago,which was complicated by Agent Orange ,the chemical used in the warfare in Vietnam,I ,I love surprises like this.German Shepard’s were of great service in WW 2 ,but all dogs ,all animals bring great joy into our lives.
It makes me so joyful to see the emotions on all the faces that have lost their own dogs and animals.
I don't always agree with pets as gifts, but sometimes they're needed for that moment to just make someone's day/life. Cheers to everyone to adopts, regardless of the means, and moreso to the ones who keep them through their lives.

I love this so much! My family always calls my household the retirement home for pets. They are lifelong commitments! They are loving members of my family. My children have theirs….which helps to teach responsibility. And, we have a lot….2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs (which we rescue before they became bait), and 2 horses. My oldest cat is almost 20, my oldest horse is almost 25, my oldest dog is 15. They stay will us for life!
She didn't need to mention that the puppy wasn't cheap. For that amount of joy to be given for a grieving owner, who cares. Priceless love
Last year i lost my Shitzu Wendy and my auntie bring her to me on my 4th birthday.
I love her so much because she was here with me through the hardest moments of my life, well, she was not docile everytime but it's okay. And for 19 years she stayed with me and my mother, but for almost 2 years she suffered to dementia and in August she refused food and water, a month before my 23th birthday i take her to the vet and said to her "See you soon sis, thank you for everything"
So enjoy every moment that you can with your pet and your parents guys :D

Today 2 years ago we lost our beloved baby girl crazy Daisy cause of cancer...
This is the hardest thing in our lifes...
We spent almost 11 years with that giant baby girl.
She was my best friend, my shadow, my soulmate...
Our whole world broke down in a second and she took our hearts with her...
After almost one year we decided to adopt a new dog and so we met Marley.
He was found at a dumpster in Greece and after quarantine he came to Germany and we adopted him directly...
He was very shy and anxious and he was afraid of men in the beginning.
Today he is a very happy boy all his anxiety is gone and he learned that men could be friends too...
We love him very much and he is so happy to be with us and he learned what love is...
Honestly Daisy will be always our number one cause she was so special and her almost 100 lbs were pure love...
But we are so happy that Marley came in our life and we could show him that life is wonderful 💝💝💝💝💝
It took me 10 yrs after my George, an American Cocker Spaniel , passed away to get another baby. I named her Georgia. They steal your ❤ without you realizing it. We went everywhere together, George was my protector & then Georgia was my 10 pound guard dog ! I still think of them, love them. The pain of losing them hasn’t really gone away but has softened.

I've lost some of the best dogs/friends I could ever have and every time I lose one... It hurts, so much. I haven't had a dog of my own for years. I do want to have a dog again, to help with the pain.

Aw I love seeing videos like this and everyone so happy! Im crying watching this. Dogs bring so much love into your life. I had to put my 3 dogs down last year, each one died months apart from each other. I still get emotional and cry 😭. I know most people get another dog right after theirs has passed but I'm just not ready and won't be for a long time. They were the best. But I will have this love again one day 😭🐾❤️

Among many people the bond between them and dogs are unbelievably strong, and yet despite that there are many humans who sadly do not have it in them to share this bond. For the animals that suffer we have to be thankfull for those who go out of their way to rescue tham. Thank you for sharing your tears of joy !
The last one choked me up! My dad isn’t the type of person who gets attached to animals but he fell hard when I brought home a Samoyed mix puppy - Cola. They were inseparable by the end of the day and he always joked after that saying she was his grandbaby. We only had her for eight years before her health declined and we lost her. The heartbreaking part is that he was the one who found her, she passed away in her sleep.
I’m always on the lookout for a Samoyed (or mixed) puppy. They obviously wouldn’t replace her, no puppy could, but I know he misses the companionship.

Are you kidding me...the last one was PRICELESS. After all the crap they had to deal with, his daughter gives up her wedding dress to help get him the puppy. Now that is a daughter that TRULY loves her father. How many bridezilla's would do that...NONE! Now that is the true meaning of father/daughter love.
