Myko isn't really necessary most of the time. It doesn't have a lot of mycorrhiza spores, only about 70 per gram, which is not a lot considering there are billions of spores in a gram. It's diluted and doesn't work well when plants are regularly fertilized. Potassium in fertilizers can stop the plant fungi relationship. I've used it, but haven't seen much of a difference. It needs a bacteria rich environment to thrive, which potted plants usually don't have, and outdoor plants don't need since mycorrhiza is everywhere in nature. My main complaint with it is the people who care enough to use it, are likely those who care enough to fertilize their plants regularly, I do like their Azos product however.
Very true. Mycorrhiza is very fragile. I do not fertilize with chemical fertilizers at all. I use whole inputs. Oyster shell, crab meal, kelp, chicken manure etc. thanks for the comment!
A little bone meal and lime are also great to add to a fig soil mix.
Sweet! Thanks for that info I will try it out!
