Seis Milonga is one of the movements of Suite Antillana published by Mel Bay and dedicated to my dear friend Carlos Barbosa Lima. It is an original piece not an arrangement.

I was with Carlos tonight and am proud to call him my friend. He is always so humble and yet he is probably the finest guitar player in the world. His playing of this piece is a prime example of his greatness

I had the privilege of seeing him front row in the Aranjuez Palace Chapel during the Andrés Segovia Festival in Madrid, about two years ago... The man played exquisitely for over 2 hours, this piece included... I have to say it is the most INCREDIBLE live performance I have ever seen in my life. If you closed your eyes you would think there was an orchestra playing... But perhaps even more incredible was being able to have dinner with him right after and realizing he is such a humble person...

This is fantastic. The guitar yields to his virtuosity. An inspiration to watch.

Impressionante!

You all might like Yamandu Costa as well,it's another brazilian guitar player, younger than carlos barbosa, but also good player.
Parabens Carlos Barbosa, um talento tão pouco reconhecido no Brasil.

Friends! Please tell me what "Seis Milonga" means? I know what "Milonga" is, but "Seis Milonga" is the first time I've encountered it. Why is it called that?

      Puerto Rico: ruclips.net/video/Mz4ESlKhm_E/видео.html
      Argentina: ruclips.net/video/cMkmgjpCY6A/видео.html´
